Label on the bottom of the box says: the battery included in this toy is intended for in-store demonstration purpose only. And the battery back really lasts only for ~30secs after charging. To make it worse I didn't find a compatible pack to order - this one provides 7.2V and 9.6V on its connector. Apparently quite unusual setup.

This product didn't last 3 days. The transmitter antennae broke the first day. After about an hour of play, the battery pack was dead and wouldn't recharge. $50+ down the drain. Don't waste your money.

The toy was very bad, the battery does not last more than 5 minutes and it broke traction, no longer works, my child is sad that the toy only lasted 5 days.

It's very, very bad.

I first purchased this awesome MONSTER truck for my son as his Christmas gift from Santa at Sam's Club. On the second day of playing with it, he took it outside to run it on the grass. Left rear wheel would not engage. Gears stripped I think. Went to Sam's Club to exchange, but they were out. It's a seasonal item. They offered to refund my money, however Santa left my son a note saying this was made especially for him by Santa's head elf Bernard! So I had to find a replacement. Sam's Club employee said his steering mechanism crapped out on the one he purchased, and since they did not have any warranty on the item, they could not send it back to the manufacturer. So they would just throw it in the garbage. He said if I wanted a refund on mine, that he would take it and use my steering mechanism for his truck. But he encouraged me to see if I could fix it and maybe order a replacement part. After an hour of screwing with it I discovered that to access the gear box, you have to basically take 1/2 the truck apart.

Thought I'd find a suitable replacement on Amazon. Purchased this item. It arrived yesterday. Disappointment number one: this "Monster" truck is about half the size of the one I purchased at Sam's Club. Took it out of the box to charge the battery pack tonight and discovered that the crappy independent suspension was already broken!!!

Are you kidding me? WTF! Is everything that comes out of China a piece of crap? At least the Japanese take pride in their work! Thank GOD that I did not tell my son that I had sent it back to Santa's Workshop so they could fix it.

This is crap! Battery life=terrible
Power=ok
Charge time=LLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG (5 hours average)
Battery is meant for in store use which isnt advertised
I drove it around my house in grass and when I hit the driveway after a full charge it's dead after abouut a minute off road (which its made for)
Save your cash. This is a terrible truck. Dont buy it as a gift you will have upset kids/grandkids.
