I must say that I finished all 8 levels of this within a 4 day period. That is my only complaint. The game is too easy to win. I did find myself coming back to play it just for the pure fun of it. The multiplayer mode makes it worth buying. If you dont like short games- rent it. I also agree with the guy that didnt like this game in that fact that the "mercy factor" as he calls it lets you win even if you just crashed near the finish. You see, when you crash you are place back on your bike fairly close to the 'pack ' of racers. As well, then you are allowed to mystically speed up to catch them. With this in mind, you can win a race you dont deserve to win by catching up at the last minute. Purists wont like that. But if you like to bash head with a club, there is no came like it out there! It is very satisifying to choose one biker and speed up and slow down to stay with him (and her -- yes there are female biker babes! hahah) and club them repeatedly til they fall. Now, that is worth the money! Heck, as I write this , I am changing my mind! I am gonna buy this one! hahahah seriously ... ROAD RASH rules! ( of course i bought a 3do back in the day just to play road rash, so i am a big RR fan!)

This game is really fun, although the original Sega versions are better. The weapons are the best part of the game, with a good variety. Bad parts of this game are the races are too short, compared to the old ones, and only 2 kinds of bikes, although each new one is slightly different. Give this game a try though, it's worth it.

This game is so awesome that when my husband came home with a PlayStation and 10 games, this one was the first one I played and so great I never played any of the others for MONTHS!I had a very stressful job at the time and this game really helped me get out my frustrations out on Cydney and Mike; everyone else is cool; though Axle and Pearl have major mood swings but are harmless. Oh and one more thing, don't even think about making Jon, Bose, Rhonda or Slim Jim your enemies; they'll "go loco" on you! I have completed all 5 levels with Jon (my favorite racer to be), Rhonda (one tough chick!), Bose (who rides with the most class), and Cydney ( who everyone hates; but she is FAST!) I know the tricks of the game. But the fun is learning. This game is violent but I think if you need to hit someone, club them, or just kick them out of your way then here is the place to do it! Not in the real world! 5 STARS! best game i've ever played and very versatile. It has a great soundtrack too. Player tip: do the easier races more than once to save up for the ultimate bike the $40,000 1000cc Diablo Vipera Nitro with 160HP weighing 490lbs. It has "fantastic" handling, "lethal" acceleration and "blinding" top-speed! The bike rules! Bottom line: you gotta have this bike to win; and you gotta have this game! 10X better than road rash in 3-D! This is not just for kids! Adults will love it too! I do!

Road Rash on 64,

I immediatly was hooked from the first time I played it. The N64 version of "ROAD RASH" is simply extreme compared to other versions I have played in the past. It incorporates new weapons and attacks with varying effects. Motorcycle "gangs" are now more of an issue, you can join them depending on the bike you buy. Difficulty ranges from very easy to impossbile. The cheat codes are interesting too. Using codes you can play as a cop busting rashers or the other extreme, racing cheesy (and very slow) motorscooters. The controls are very responsive, the music is excellent and the sound effects are great. There are flaws though. The graphics have the 3-D look but with little detail in textures, this could have been much better done in my opinion. It is really dissapointing when you think how much better it could be with the expansion pack and realize there is little to no noticable difference. Another thing that may bother some gamers is the slim pickings of bikes, only four per level to choose from. The frustration factor can set in near the last couple levels, but it isn't nearly as bad as some games. Other than the graphics I would highly recommend this game to Road Rash fans as well as racing fans in general.

Road Rash is well on its way to eating up every single moment of my spare time! This game just plain rocks. From the hardrock soundtrack to the excellent graphics and game play, this game makes having an N64 a MUST. Even though it took me only a few days to win every race and qualify on every level, I continue to work through the levels time and again to buy new bikes and find new weapons and paths. Well worth every penny -- and with my Amazon $10 off coupon, my bro will be enjoying it come Xmas as well.

One of the few "fast" games which allows a new player to "acclimatize" him or herself to the game before real speed is introduced. That's a plus (unless you're a return player). It's also addictive -- plugged in this game time and time again, though have won 7 times. Secondary complaint: too few levels (only 5) and too few races in each level. The moment of greatest success and, wham, you're finished. Main complaint: being a COP does not mean you are on the Police Force and get to bust the bikers, only that a biker in a Police uniform is in the race. That is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I was looking forward to busting rather than being busted, maybe even driving a police car instead of a cycle. Programmers, observe: you have a good game that would have achieved greatness had you only included a complete COP function. Next time, please do so!

This game is everything I expected that Road Rash would be on the N64. The graphics are not the greatest compared to other games on the 64, but the speed if faster than any racing out there.
