Road Refresher No Spill Portable Pet Bowl

This bowl works as advertised. I have been using mine for years now. It is real durable. My large black lab has no problem putting his snout down in order to drink. There is a *gasket* that I never use, I just let my dogs go straight to the water and it still doesn't spill out.

This bowl replaced my buddy bowl. The road refresher bowl is great because it is easy to take apart and it is dishwasher safe.However, the design of the lid is contoured differently and my one dog developed problems drinking from it. Neither dog liked drinking from the bowl. It does not hold as much water as the buddy bowl so I was constantly refilling it. I prefer the buddy bowl,it is worth the hand washing.

I have a cat that loves to play in the water bowl. I tried all the other water dispensers on the market and he found a way to make a mess. Till I bought this bowl!! I have not had to mop up the floor in 2weeks:)

I purchased my first Road Refresher a number of years ago for my kitchen. We have a golden retriever who thinks the only way to drink water is to insert his ENTIRE muzzle into a bowl..slurp and then walk away with a mouthful of water to spread across the floor. This stopped that! WOW!! Bought a second one to keep on our boat and now am in process of buying one as a gift for a friend with a 'muzzle loader'! I use it in our RV and in my SUV...no splashes, no muzzle loading and the boys always have water available.

This is a great bowl for the traveler with pets, whether in an rv or a big truck. My husband and I are long haul truck drivers and were trying to find a water bowl that wouldn't leak for our 2 Yorkies. We sometimes travel over real rough roads and this water bowl fit the ticket perfectly. No splash or spill. Our Yorkies can get a drink of water whenever they want.

It works. Even if you knock it over (which is hard to do because of the low center of gravity) it does not spill. Stays put in the car (floor of the minivan in our case) without sliding around or spilling - no matter if you go over speed bumps, no matter if you make a sharp turn.

Unfortunately, if your dog decides to pick it up and bring it to you to refill, there is a good chance that the top pice of plastic will crack - that is what happened to us after a few weeks of owning it. It would have been nice if this was a sturdier piece of plastic.

The larger problem though is that the styrofoam strip that fits up under the rim of the plate (this floating plate is what keeps the water from sloshing around) falls out every time you remove that part to clean (gets slimy). It has now broken into pieces and doesnlt want to stay in it's groove when you reassemble it. I suppose that I need to run a bead of silicone in the groove so it stays put, but I would be concerned that then I might not be able to clean it thoroughly again.

A great idea but I would not buy this again knowing the design flaws.

Our newest addition to the family (a kitten) was keeping us up all night spilling/splashing the water out of the water bowl. Every day and every night. No amount of 'disciplining' worked. Nothing we tried helped. We were at our wits end....the other 4 cats had to go without water because it was all out of the bowl in no time and add to that the mess to clean up several times a day.

This bowl did the trick! Simply fantastic. We did have to modify it a bit (its designed for dogs) because a limited amount of water is available at any given time.... but a little modification to it to allow extra water to come thru........and we have a great solution! If your cat is splashing water out of the bowl and endlessly playing in it - this is a superb product. Our cats can't spill or splash or tip the bowl over with this bowl. Solved our problem! Highly recommend it!

Our puppy loves to play in his water bowl. He drinks, sticks his whole snout into the bowl, blows bubbles, puts in a paw. To date, he has not tipped the bowl over. The velcro strips on the bottom hold the bowl in place - both in our house and in our car.

I love the road refresher No Spill Bowls. We have a very messy drinker who was always slopping her water everywhere. Although this does not stop it 100%, having the controlled water release this bowl provides, has made my life much easier. I have purchased 4 of them now and thought the other day about getting one more. They also work great for going out on our boat. A+++ Great design. Thanks

My cats love splashing water all over the place. This item really saves me from cleaning the floor daily!
