If you can't stand loud toys DO NOT buy this! The speakers are quite loud and the song/noises are obnoxious, but my son loves it. I got it for him for Christmas the year he was 5 and a year and a half later I still have to tell him to shut his bedroom door so I don't have to hear it. Good quality has stood up to rides down the stairs and even my younger child sitting on it and scooting down the hallway.
