Of the plethora of anthologies dealing with SF in a historical perspective, this has to be the cream of the crop. Not only does Gunn preform a deft editing feat by chosing rare gems alongside classics, but he introduces authors I've never had a chance to read before. All the volumes in this series are worth picking up, and it's just our luck the fine folks here at Amazon have them all.
