Per Dr. Joe Vigil, the cost is actually 24.95 + 3.00 P&H, total $27.95. NOT $32.95

Vigil is a legend among coaches and he puts his 30+ years of research and wisdom into this book. For the average runner or coach without a science background, it may seem overwhelming with the amount of scientific data discussed. However, once you have a basic understanding of what he is talking about, the material and workouts become clear. His formula for success obviously works and after he breaks it down it can be adapted to fit any level of runner.
Vigil discusses all aspects of running, from trainig to mental preparation. He also describes how he has motivated and molded runners to do things they never thought possible. This is an excellent book for the coach who is trying to develop a total program that helps young people develop into runners and all well rounded young adults.

I decide to verify the address using white pages and confirmed it is his address. I mailed a check for $40. About 7 days later my brand new copy arrived, and a note about the cost of the book is $24.95 + $5 S/H. He sent back a $10 bill, with a note explaining the cost breakdown. Inside the cover was nice personalized note and his signature.

The book itself is great, with many workout progressions listed for various events. There is some physiology involved but nothing requiring a degree to read. I also have his 800/1500m workout DVD, and find the book and video make a nice companion to my endurance collection.
