This is an outstanding record of the courageous and selfless dedication and sacrifices of the men of the U. S. Army Ranger battalions serving in the European theater during WWII. Their endurance, strength, willpower, and grim determination demonstrated that the formidable enemy, the Vermacht, was butter under the cutting edge of the 2nd Ranger (and other) Ranger...

Good for info on training but-
This book was written by a person who was there and immediately after the war was over. It's a good source for info on the training the Rangers went thru in the US and England before D-day but once the combat starts, it's weak on the details and descriptions of the battles, especially beyond Co. A.
