It works, but I can't let my younger son too near it because it is not rugged or super durable. It does send the car flying for a pretty good distance.

this toy has a roller that spins a wheel built into the middle of the car. car is not standard size and no other cars fit into the launcher. thumbs down.

Awesome toy. A favorite since I got it for my son for Christmas.

First-if you aren't a parent of little boys-you might not know-GX Racers is a series of toys that take special GX racer cars. The GX cars will run you $4-$15 each-depending on where you buy them. This launcher will not launch just any toy car-it must be a GX Racer car. They also have some cool tracks for the cars as well.

This was our first purchase of anything form the GX racers series. We have since purchased a couple of extra cars to go with it, but no GX tracks or ramps.

That being said-this is an awesome toy and little boys love it as well as some of the big kids (in their 20's-40's! LOL)

My 4 and 7 year old boys play with it often. The 4 year old has no trouble working it. But he did have trouble using the zip cords that normally come with GX racer cars.

The cars really go flying across the house with this which sends the boys into fits of giggling and cheering! 5 stars cause the kids like it and it seems very durable.

This was a present I bought for two different people for Christmas. Upon opening the item we discovered it required batteries. The description said nothing of this so it was VERY disappointing not to be able to try it right away. If I had known I would have attached batteries to the gift. Also, only the car that comes with it works. It doesn't launch regular matchbox cars. I was hoping to shoot lots of cars with it. When we did get batteries and figured it out the kids (ages 6 and 9) had fun launching the car and seeing if we could get it to go up a ramp and fly off. Doesn't make the car go all that fast (according to us older kids: age 38 and 64), but the 6 & 9 year old did enjoy it. Hint: Follow the instructions to open up the car and turn the large wheel over so that it flys faster. That's when we actually started seeing some speed.

my son had a hard time pulling the cord through the cars but this works great and makes the cars go really fast!!
