4.0 out of 5 stars worthwhile just for the Jeff Healey cuts
I don't normally care for soundtrack albums, but hearing Jeff Healey do "When the night comes falling" was too much to resist. The four Jeff Healey cuts make this CD worthwhile. They are so good that the rest of the stuff doesn't matter. In fact the other cuts make nice filler to space out the good stuff -- like listening to a radio station that alternates...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great tunes, but where's the rest?
I love this soundtrack-Jeff Healey really makes it work, but where is the song that the movie opens to? The one that is called "Don't throw stones" I can't find it anywhere and the video is too hard to read about the artist. Why wasn't it included in this great soundtrack?

The music is very good on the cd. However, not all the songs from the movie are there. And a couple that weren't in the movie are. I was rather disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very bad Song Coverage, October 12, 2009
This review is from: Roadhouse (Audio CD)
I can't believe all the songs that are missing from this album! Ten songs, that's it! Someone in that company needs to get it together and create a sequel or something! I wouldn't buy this the best/hard to find songs are missing! What a disappointment!

4.0 out of 5 stars this soundtrack is about Jeff Healey !!!, November 26, 2008
lets be honest when people think about the music for road house they think about jeff healey, the truth is besides blue monday and these arms of mine the rest of these songs weren't displayed much in the film, I would have liked to see most of these tracks taken out(especially the swayze tracks) so it could be completly (or mostly) filled with healey,
they left out great tracks like "on the road again" "white room" and "travelin band". The least they could do is come out with a remastered cd with bonus tracks because these songs deserve to be heard.
also as others have pointed "dont throw stones would be welcomed too"

but overall if you enjoyed the movie you'll enjoy this cd,but dont be suprised if you find yourself skipping over the swayze tracks and wanting more healey !!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful sound track!, March 8, 2007
I have always loved this movie, lots and lots of reasons, but mainly because it has really great music! The Jeff Healy band is wonderful, and he does have some really great music out. I had never really heard him before this movie, but am a big fan now! Patrick Swayze also does a couple of songs in this movie, and I never realized before that he sang! This is a favorite, and some of the songs cant be found anywhere else!

4.0 out of 5 stars 4 stars that could have been 5!, March 17, 2005
Being a Jeff Healey fan I just had to pick this album up.
Every song he does on here is just great! I'd have to say
that "When The Night Comes Falling" and "Roadhouse Blues"
are my favorites of the 4 cuts. I'd rank "Hoochie Coochie
Man" as my 3rd favorite. There are other good tracks on
this album such as Bob Segar's cover of Fats Domino's
"Blue Monday" sounds really well. Not as good as Fats,
but there is no shame in that=)

Also, we have Otis Redding a true legend. The Little
Feat song is also pretty good in it's own right. The
reason it doesn't give 5 stars is because Patrick
Swayze shouldn't have songs on here. I was tempted
to give this album 3 stars because of these terrible
songs. But Jeff is just to good and keeps it at 4
stars.

This is one great CD and I'm so glad I took the time to order it. I don't believe anyone would be disapointed if they bought it, and for the price you can't beat it.
