Got hooked on this New Zealand band by accident on my never ending search for great Christian Bands to fill up my mp3 player. Lead singer Omega Levine wrote "Mercy", check the live youtube video. Omega tells his touching story that will bring you to your knees. I immediatley downloaded all of their CD's through Zune. Support these great bands by purchasing their music legally.

This is a great CD. I just bought this CD, and it really is great. I suppose I would classify it as rock/worship, but they do have some mellow songs too. The best thing though, is the thorough saturation of the gospel in this cd- the salvation of Jesus is never absent from any track. Take a look at "Precious Jesus," "The Way," and "Thine is the Kingdom."
If you're looking for similarities, I would say they're kind of like Hillsong in their sound, but I think Parachute Band seems a little bit more gospel-oriented than Hillsong. |
