A Geological Guide to the Ontario Lake Superior Tour,
By Roscoe (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Roadside Geology of Ontario: North Shore of Lake Superior (Rock on Series 2) (Spiral-bound)
Unfortunately I picked up this gem at the end of our last tour around Ontario's north shore of Lake Superior. The result was I discovered several little side trips I wished I had taken. Next time I'll have it along. I really like the spiral binding, makes it easy to thumb through the book to find the sections that correspond to whereever on the road you happen to be.
Rock Hound & Geology fans will love this book for the education one gets in the geological history of the area. The way the book is organized, however, it is easy to scan over the heavier material and identify interesting and attractive rock formations to visit or note as you drive down the highway. |
