Book Description

January 2, 2009
Roadside USA: Route 66 and Beyond is a collection of 30 detachable color postcards by roadside culture photographers Jim Ross and Shellee Graham. With heritage tourism now among the fastest growing industries in America, motorists in search of adventure are hitting the road in greater numbers than ever before. Along the way, the fun of sending postcards provides a great opportunity to share the journey in real time and to create personalized souvenirs. The images in Roadside USA represent a grab bag of roadside vignettes from around the country--everything from forgotten motels and classic cars to dazzling neon. Whether traveling through Wyoming, Texas, Florida, or anywhere else, these glimpses from America s byways will add an exclamation point to your message and help share your enthusiasm for the wonder and excitement of the open road.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, fun images, February 2, 2009
This review is from: Roadside USA: Route 66 and Beyond (Perfect Paperback)
What a fun blast of roadside imagery, from Lincoln Highway landmarks to Route 66 icons, and lots from less famous highways too. The 30 postcards range from diners to gas stations to the roads themselves. The images and reproduction are so beautiful that you'll want one for your bookshelf and one to tear out the cards and mail them. Most of all, this book leaves me wanting to see lots more of Shellee and Jim's work.
