Roaring Dinosaur Wearable Sound-FX Fantasy Toy

This toy is really one of the coolest I've seen. Unfortunately these Get-ups were not around when I was little but I get excited just watching my little brother and my little cousins play in their Get-ups for hours. Depending on which animal the child chooses they can slip into furry slippers and a stuffed-animal-like head piece that makes realistic noises in relation to the childs movement. Each tilt of the head makes a completely different kind of roar or snarle (the slippers make sound too!). But the animal sounds are extremely realistic which allows kids to really explore their imagination while wearing this interactive costume.

We bought this for our son's 3rd Birthday. HE LOVES it!
He loves the Laurie Berkner Move to the music song WE are the dinosaurs- so this was so perfect- he loves to march around the house singing that song and saying ROAR! We love the sound effects of this costume. He insisted on wearing this costume ever night for about a week. I think this was a great hit!

The Get-Up Roaring Dinosaur is a super idea for any child (I'd say age three and up) who love dinosaurs. It fosters creative play, which is also becoming a rarity in today's hyperactive/passive toy market. Our son loves to pretend with it in so many ways - for example, it's definitely brought a new dimension to plain old hide-and-seek!

It consists of a costume dinosaur head that sits like a cap on your child's head and two pull-on slippers which look like claws. Each of the items has a sensor that triggers a different dinosaur sound: the head roars in different ways when your child shakes his/her head or tips back, while the feet make a thunderous stomping sound with each step. Don't worry - none of the effects are overly loud. The head could be a little top-heavy or cumbersome for smaller children; a chinstrap of some sort would have been a good idea. The feet have gripper bottoms so you don't have to worry about your child falling on hard floors. The polyester fabric doesn't breathe at all, so plan on taking regular breaks when playing in order to avoid overheating your child.

The only downside that we found was the lack of instructions in the package. There's a tiny note on the bottom of the box on how to replace the batteries, but absolutely no word on how to operate the head or feet. Maybe this was a packing error unique to our shipment. At first we thought that we had a defective set, but a little trial-and-error uncovered two key points:

(1) there's an on/off button hidden inside the head between the eyes; just squeeze the head and you'll feel it
(2) there are flat sensors in the heels of the feet which trigger their sounds; you may have to pinch around to move them to the best spot for your child's foot to activate them

If your child loves dinosaurs, it's a safe bet that the Get-Up Roaring Dinosaur will be a complete hit. Your child's imagination is the only limit on what can be done with it. Just one word of caution - prepare yourself to be awakened each morning by a roaring dinosaur storming into your bedroom!

We loved these Roaring Dinosaur feet and head! They were part of my sons Halloween costume! Kids love them! Held up well!

My Grandson got this from his aunt and its great! His little sister loves to play dress up (with her princess dress up sets) and this keeps him from feeling left out of dress up play time.
He looks so funny in it, it just makes you smile :)

I sent this present to my nephew. I never saw him in it, but i heard that he really enjoyed it. I heard him over the phone running crazy in the costume having a good time. My niece apparently liked the outfit a lot too. She usually dresses up like a princess or a fairy. Now my nephew has a costume to enjoy too.

it was a great toy that my son loved for hours. the next day my older son loved it ,, then the next day my daughter loved it.. now, i couldn't tell you where it is.. i haven't seen it since.
