"Hot Rod Hearts" and "Steal Away" were great songs at the turn of the eighties. This live reunion of Robbie and his band was done 20 years later in 1998. Overall, it's a rather bland performance. "Hot Rod Hearts" doesn't have the sense of teen angst and energy it did as a single in 1980. The cover of "Steal Away" also pales in comparison. It's a nice easy listening album, but it should have been much better!

I purchased Robbie Dupree's first two albums (the self-titled debut, as well as "Street Corner Heros")and listened to them so many times that I literally wore out the cassettes. I have been searching for these albums for years and was pleased to find the live version of many of the songs included on these two albums--as well as songs from other of albums. The live album are not carbon copies of the original albums. Indeed, this album (actually, a double CD) demonstrates that Dupree is a very talented singer and musician and is not "studio creation". this cd brings back memories of my teenage years (hot rod hearts) plus introduced me to new favorites.I would recomend this cd to all.

I listened to it a couple times and my friend told me to buy it but i didn;t want to but because he was going to Bosnia and i figured it woulb be good to try, i bought it anyway. He died by some kid who pikced up one of the American';s guns and was killed. I first thoght it wasn't bad but when i listened to its lyrics, it disgusted me.
