Book Description

1 and upRobbie Reader Contemporary Biographies
Miley Cyrus has a smile so big that it lights up her entire face. That s why her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, nicknamed her Smiley Miley. This young lady is not only a happy person with a bubbly personality, she is also a very talented actress and musician. Her big break came in 2006 when Disney Channel aired the first episode of Hannah Montana in which Miley had the starring role. She is now one of the most popular stars on the Disney roster. Fortunately, Miley hasn t let stardom change her. She is still the sweet country girl from Tennessee with a smile that is just about as big as she is.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just fine for what it is, January 11, 2008
This review is from: Miley Cyrus (Robbie Readers) (Robbie Reader Contemporary Biographies) (Library Binding)
This book is a "Robbie Reader" which means it's an easy reader book for young children. It has large type and easy vocabulary for early elementary children who want to read a biography of their favorite superstar. It's for this audience, not for teenagers, so this book is just fine for what it is. It's not phenomenal but it allows young fans to learn about a star at their own level. If you want a fan book, get Mad about Miley.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price, December 18, 2007
This review is from: Miley Cyrus (Robbie Readers) (Robbie Reader Contemporary Biographies) (Library Binding)
I purchased this book for my young son to give to his older sister, who is 14. I was a little hesitant over the steep price but thought if it made them both happy, I'd do it. I expected a thick book full of glossy photos and lots of information. I was very disappointed to find the writing was geared towards a first or second grader. It was also a very thin book. My daughter read it in 5 minutes and we sent it back immediately!
