My son's best friend enjoyed this so much he lent it to him. My son loved it so much he bugged my daughter to read it and they couldn't stop talking about it at the dinner table. I always wonder how to get the two of them to talk but I guess this novel did it. They keep coming up with stories of what they think might happen next. It's so adorable. I gave it a bit of a read myself and it is well written and very imaginative. Thanks so much for the great book.

I have to tell you, as I was reading this book, my first thought was that it was the kind of novel that I would have read to my kids as they were growing up. That's what makes this a great family read, one that can be enjoyed by many ages, give the parents and kids something to relate to. Since I found my son reading this book, I figured I would read it, too.

The book hooked me immediately. Were the dreams that Robbie was having simply dreams, or could they actually be memories? And what was up with his parents? No wonder he would be dreaming a better family as he slept. So, I had to find out what was going on.

Because I don't want to be accused of spoiling this novel for others, just trust me when I say that I loved the futuristic setting, and the mystery surrounding Robbie. I think this could become an instant classic. And like the author's kids requested, it could become a movie in the near future. Can't wait for Book 2.

This book, Robbie Velez and The Key to Rocket City by A. J. Arias was recommended to me by a friend who knows I am always looking for that next big superstar in the world of writers. I believe that maybe we have found one in A. J. Arias. I am not going to give away the plot or story line, I wouldn't want to spoil this literary delight for you, there are other reviews that do a good job of that here. This is one book that needs to be experienced for yourself.

From the start this book creates a story that is irresistibly hard to stop reading. The writing style is magnificently well done in creating a realistic plot that is captivating. Another aspect that struck me was the originality of the plot. Very refreshing in the sense that there are undertones that mirror the world we live in today.

I appreciate the layering of meanings that reminds me of the works of George Orwell and Suzanne Collins. I would even venture to say that Ray Bradbury would have enjoyed reading this. Like I said, we might be looking at creative genius here with A. J. Arias. This is a great start and cannot wait to read the next installment!

A.J. Arias has created a fantastic series that draws you in from the very first page. This science fiction book reminds me of a cross between Harry Potter and The Matrix, similar to the Hunger Games. This book is written for anyone from ages 10 to 100 but still fits wonderfully into the young adult category. In this book, you are following the journey of Robbie Velez and his friends Louis, Scarlett, and Jazmin. The country has been devastated after the Cyborg War and science is the main focus for everyone. Imagination is unheard of and should never be used. Free speech is a thing of the past. Robbie has to discover his vital role in this society and quickly learn his place and who is the Key. I highly recommend this book and definitely a read for everyone. This is a fantastic first book in a series that will definitely be talked about for years to come.

Liberty and freedom... Science fiction... it all comes together in The Key to Rocket City. We follow young Robbie as he searched to find the answers to all his internal questions and doubts. When Robbie finds out that his parents might not have been who he thought they were, his world turns upside down. And after the Cyborg Wars, Robbie and his newfound group of friends find out the new human government cannot be trusted.

This book is a great read and written very well. The author brings the story to life through imaginative writing and true-to-life characters. The target audience of this young adult sci-fi adventure will absolutely love it!

I really, really enjoyed this book ! As a fan of Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and the Sci-Fi Channel I felt that Robbie grabs a hold of you for a great adventure. I've been recommending it to all the parents I know for their own children. Anxiously awaiting the next installment !

I wasn't exactly sure what this book would be, but after reading the description I decided it was worth a read and man was I impressed. Anybody who is a big sci-fi/Star Wars fan is sure to like this book. It has a deep message about liberty and freedom and still has a story that any young reader is sure to love. The plot is well written and faced paced, it really hooks you right from the right from the first chapter. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a book that kids will truly enjoy and respond to.
