Robbins is great. The new edition is great. "Expert Consult" is a total waste of money however. As far as I can tell, I paid about 10 extra dollars to get a black cover. The text inside is exactly the same. The online features are exactly the same; in fact, I had to contact the publisher several times via email just to get my "expert consult" online access activated because the code that came in my copy of the book was incorrectly coded for Student Consult access. Now, I am thinking I might as well not have bothered; not only was in an unnecessary extra expense for the same services, but also: no other textbook you will buy uses the "expert consult" website, while many of them use Student Consult (Gray's Anatomy for Students, Goljan Path, Costanzo Phys), so now I just have one more account and website that I have to log in to.

I bought this book to update my knowledge of basic sciences while studying for clinical cases. I do have extra time now and I am glad I purchased a book that makes the updating a lighter experience through good layout and objective text. The pictures are in very good print quality and diagrams are didactic. Although I did not use the online access yet, registration was easy.

I have been both studying AND reviewing the subject of PAthology for over 11 years now through the editions of this book. Furthermore, it's eletronic edition, with access through the Expert Consult site allows me to check it and study it anywhere I want.
Furthermore, the seller was able to deliver it inside the time frame provided at the time of the purchase.
