Robbobell is a passage of the sprite of the intersoul of trying to suceed and ending with a conclusion in affrimation of triumph. The book is largely driven to capture the reader's own dreams and at the same time deliver a - I have been there before but no one was around to tell me until now. An unigue author with a perceptive future and shared insight for the reader.

5.0 out of 5 stars Robbobell, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Robbobell: Scars of a Painful but Wonderful Past (Paperback)
Robbobell gives you the chance to take a look into the deep south, during a time when African-American's were to stay in their place. The book takes you on a journey that can be compared to that of a butterfly. How the ugly cattepliar that nobody wants around turns into a beautiful colorful butterfly that everyone wants to see floating through the air. This journey marks the magnificent work of God, but isnt preachy. It just allows you to see the marvelous way that God spared a life many times over. That is all the testimony that is needed. I reccomend this book to young people who need to have a roadmap, when they are finding themselves lost in a big world. I also reccomend this book to Chrisitians to share this testimony with others, so they can see the works of God. This book will also be a good choice for a non believer or somebody looking for a good read.

This book is simply amazing. The author recounts his terribly humble beginnings and how he was able to overcome those obstacles. Through his stories, the author shares practical wisdom for all. Reading Robbobell will prove beneficial for every facet of American society. It's the "real deal" on a success story from the African American community.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reflections on Robbobell, September 28, 2009

This review is from: Robbobell: Scars of a Painful but Wonderful Past (Paperback)
Robbobell was an honest and unflinching look into one man's life. The book is straightforward and does not offer apologies for the truth. This book appeals to many diverse groups of people; men looking for an inspiration, military personnel searching for a career model, educators looking for purpose in their profession, Christians or those considering becoming Christians who are looking for "evidence" that God is real or anyone who wants and needs hope in today's turbulent world.

This is a heart-warming story that pulls you into the author's life - the struggles, the pain, the joy, the love, and the triumphs. Unquestionably this is a must-read and a must-have for your collection. This book truly makes you want to stand up and cheer!

This a wonderful story about a boy who becomes a Man through God's Grace and the love of a good woman!Reading the book makes you realize that no dream is out of reach, no matter what your background is, just believe in yourself and trust God. We all have a purpose in life and through the love and support of someone we can count on we can fulfill that purpose.
I would recommend this book for everyone, but especially for the youth, who desperately need direction. I hope this book would inspire them to not let anything hold them back and reach for the stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME! JUST AWESOME!, November 21, 2009

This review is from: Robbobell: Scars of a Painful but Wonderful Past (Paperback)
Robbobell (Scars of a Painful but Wonderful Past) is simply an AWESOME memoir. This amazing story has something that we all can relate too. It's a rags to riches, a love story, segregration, drugs usage, God fearing, Vietnam, and a young man trying to find his way, in a world that is a long ways from his small rural town of Aurora, NC. He would not have survived if it had not been for God and a young lady that dared all to keep her family together. The story will make you laugh, and sad, while other times, it just makes you angry. But most of all, it will force you to think about real people that cross our paths each and every day. The people in the story seems like the neighbors next door, with down home names. Furthermore, if you have forgotten your history like most of us. Robbobell, gives you a quick overview about each decade before you read each section. That was truly, a great idea. This is a must read!
