The Harry Potter books remind me of Asprin's Myth Series,
By A Customer
This review is from: Robert Asprin's Myth Series (Paperback)
I have read and reread the 10 Myth books by Asprin. I love each one. I read them when I was in high school and have reread them 10 years later. They are still enjoyable. I recently picked up the Harry Potter books and they made me want to get back to Asprin's Myth Books. How I would love to find out what Skeeve and his pals will be doing in book 11. I can't even begin to understand the pressures and time constraints involved in getting a book out to a publisher. I am sure it is demanding. Asprin's readers will wait until Skeeve's story is ready to be told. I hope Asprin knows how much enjoyment his books have brought to their readers. I will patiently wait til the day when number 11 and 12 are released to find out what will happen to Skeeve, his friends and the magical worlds that await him. Good Luck to you Mr. Asprin and to you too, Skeeve.

Greatest Ever Series!,

This review is from: Robert Asprin's Myth Series (Paperback)
First time I read a book from Myth Series was about 8 years ago- I got it from my mom on my birthday. Few month ago I had a look through my home library and found this book- being a very involved fantasy reader, and just for the sake of rememberance, I read it- and couldn't stop. Since then I got all 10 books and keep reading them over and over, 'cause each time you read it, you discover all the new stuff about characters, always find it unbearably funny and witty, as well as cleverly written. The ending of the 10th book left readers in a terrible suspence- Gleep got shot! And he said "Skeeve"- his second word! I got on this web site to find out when the next book will be out, but it seems that no one knows.I it very unfortunate that there will be only two more books. I really hope that dear Robert A. would reconsider, or surprise us with at least one more book after that!

The Best Books Ever,
By "wolfeman217" (Bloomfield, NJ USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Robert Asprin's Myth Series (Paperback)
The books in Robert Asprin's Myth series are the best books I have ever had the pleasure to read! I am only thirteen years old, and I discovered these great books when I was about nine, so I started reading them long after Another Fine Myth was published. I have read, and reread, all ten books in the series and I can hardly wait for numbers 11 and 12 (and hopefully 13,14,15...). I highly recommend these books to anyone.

I started reading this series when I was 11, now I'm 15 and I'm still addicted. The wonderful character development, the beautiful and wonderous settings, the magical plots, the humorous twists and turns, unbelievable! I am a huge fan, and this series has got to be the best ever! From Skeeve to Tananda, to Gleep, and Aahz the Pervert.. ahem I meant Pervect. This is the most wonderous and humorous, creative and magical group you will ever read of... EVER!Contact me for more hype!

If you miss it, you will be incredibly sorry,

Read these books. Very entertaining. From a kid who is in the 7th grade, drowbning in a sea of pointless busywork and report papers, it really is a great escape. The whole cast is well developed, and seem to take on lives of their own. I don't know how many times I've checked for the next one, but I can't wait.

Cerebral Pun-ishment at it's Finest!,

At first, it seems a bit dark... but that lasts about, oh, 1 chapter ;) The entire series has a very light-hearted, D&D-ish atmosphere sprinkled with enough high-tech and sci-fi to keep most people happy. Each chapter starts off with a simple `quote' to set the mood. These quotes are worth the read alone. The titles I am aware of are:Another Fine Myth, Myth Conceptions, Myth Directions, Hit Or Myth, Myth-ing Persons, Little Myth Marker, Myth Inc. Link, Myth-nomers and Im-pervections, M.Y.T.H. Inc. in Action, and Sweet Myth-tery of Life. The original edition of each, (Starblaze Editions - Donning, Norfolk/Virginia Beach) are spot illustrated by Phil Folio (who, incidently, did a fairly short lived comic book version of the story). You'll have to look him up for yourselves, as he has his own niche in the fantasy genre. The cast of characters, (and they _are_ that), is nothing short of `diverse'. My favourite character is `Tanda', a female troll assasin. She has olive-gold skin, green hair and cat-like eyes. I am particularly impressed by her infamous `no-hands searching technique'. Once you've read the series for yourselves, you'll understand what I am talking about ;) Just watch out for her brother, Chumly! Others in the rogues' gallery include, but are not limited to; Aahz, Quigley, Buttercup, Gleep, Markie, Gus and Ferbert, Bunny, Masha, Guido and Nunzio, and Pooky too! Currently, I am watching for the next in the series. Once you start, you'll be doing the same!

I am writing to support the call for the 11th book.I was introduced to the series by Myth Inc. a friend loaned me when I was in secondary (high) school back in 1985. When I had the chance to visit Hawaii a couple of years back, a fellow reader recommended me the book 10 when I was visiting a bookshop. As I browse through the book, it brought back memories. I bought all 10 books that day. I loved the story line and the characters and I have been waiting book 11 since.

I've been reading this series since the first book was published and have all 10 in the original Starblaze editions. Book 11 should have been out 20 years ago (yes, the series is that old). However, this series is worth the wait. My 13 year old stepson hated to read until I turned him on to this series. Come on, Bob, who shot Gleep?
