5.0 out of 5 stars Top album, April 15, 2009
This review is from: Robert Johnson's Tombstone (Audio CD)
To me, as a new fan, this is Thunder's best album. I like it from beginning to end and to me there are no fillers, just great songs from start to finish. I'm glad I had the chance opportunity to come across these guys on YouTube, and have since become a serious fan. May never get to see them live, but I'm glad to be able to hear their music - good solid hard rock with a bit of blues and funk thrown in for good fun. Even my wife likes them! Stand out tracks - title track and "Andy Warhol Said", and all the rest are pretty darn good as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic British Rock At It's Best., February 12, 2009

This is the follow-up to; The Magnificent Seventh, & the third album the band released since reforming and it's even better.

There's no stand out track here, it's all good. It has it rockers; Robert Johnson's Tombstone & Dirty Dream, ballads; A Million Faces & It's All About You, Also good humor with; The Devil Made me Do It, where the narrator blames the Devil for his behaviour... I love the line "I was all tissues & tension" One of my favourites is; My Darkest Hour, a Thunder ballad where Danny sings just with acoustic guitar and cello for accompaniment-usually Thunder ballads start soft then rock out when it hits the chorus this doesn't & it's better for it.

Since this release Thunder brought out one last studio album; Bang, then announced a farewell tour of Europe & Japan finishing it with a final UK tour in July '09. It's a shame you guys in the U.S. didn't get a chance to see them live, you've missed out on one of the best live bands around.
