This German made coping saw is of superior quality. The frame is light yet rigid and sturdy. The handle is made from a quality hardwood. The feel of the saw in hand is the best part. It gives a controlled feel and allows for precise cuts with clean lines with little tear-out. I won't buy inferior saws any more. With proper care it should last a lifetime. You know its quality instantly when you get it in hand.

I just received this saw in the mail today. It's my first coping saw, and it feels great in the hand. It's a good size, and the cuts are nice. Unfortunately, the rotational adjustment pin on the distant end of the bar (not near the handle) is way too tight. I had to oil it, and work it a bit, to make it adjustable. Other coping saws that I have handled in big box stores were too loose. It just didn't seem worth sending back... I'll loosen it up through use, and may shave the pin down a hair with a file so that tension keeps the pin in place, rather than compression.

Handle a bit too small,

Overall a nice saw with a sharp blade. There's not much you can get wrong on a coping saw if the blade is sharp and the bow is stiff! I give this 4 only because I feel I would have more precise control if the diameter of the handle was a bit larger.

I am building a boat and the copping saw I had wore out shortly after I started due to numberous blade changes due to cast parts. This saw is very well designed with all steel parts. Saw blades are very secure and position easy to adjust. I'm sure this saw will last as long as I do.

Having had several junk coping saws before, this one is a dream come true. I was in the middle of a project when my last cheap coping saw broke. I vowed to buy a good one this time, and this one has far exceeded my expectations. Very smooth blade rotation and quality parts. Even if you think you won't use one very often, the difference in feel and workmanship make this one worth the extra price.

This is my first coping saw, so to be fair I must say that I have no prior experience with other brands and models. However, I am thoroughly satisfied with this coping saw purchase. We bought this saw for my son's Pinewood Derby car for Boy Scouts. It handled the job like a charm. The frame of the saw is very sturdy and feels solid. The handle is very comfortable, and is made of wood. I found it very easy to adjust the blade to different angles. With each adjustment, the blade held fast and did not move. This is the type of saw that seems like it will last many years with proper care.True story... I wanted a good quality saw that I could count on to do the job right. This saw did not let me down. The other day, we had a birthday party for my daughter, and we wanted to put tables under the trees. Problem was the tree branches needed trimming! We don't own any saws. And then I thought, "what about my coping saw? Nah, it is too small and weak". I had no choice; I grabbed it from the garage and decided to use it to cut my branches off. **The branches I cut were no more than 1 inch thick**. I was able to slice right through them with very little effort! This little saw sawed off about 8 or 9 branches by the time I was done. Even after all that, the blade is still very sharp! Now, I just need some extra blades just in case. I am very happy with this purchase. For the small price I paid, I have a great quality saw that I know I can always count on.

Just got into woodworking projects and this is my first coping saw. It does the job without a hitch. It is very smooth and performs well on small detail work.

This is a very well made tool: clean and precise machining, select wood handle and thoughtful design of blade retainer. It arrived quickly via standard delivery. I am very pleased with the overall purchase.

This saw is what you would expect. I purchased a set of extra thin kerf blades at a local hardware store to cope a complex baseboard profile. These blades + a small rasp did the trick for an extra few bucks.

I just used this for the first time on a project. The saw overall is well made and sturdy and much better than some of the cheap ones I have used, it is well made and feels solid in your hand. The only problem I have is that the top pin is a to tight to easily turn when in use , this seems the same issue I have seen on other reviews. I plan to pull the pin and give it a good polish it looks like there is a tool mark or two on it I think that will correct the issue. Many tools have to be fine tuned I have found and that seems to be a theme with buying what is really a better than average product as this is. So with a little polish to the top pin I thinks its a really excellent buy for the price and I give it 4 stars due to the top pin issue.
