Fascinating
I've owned this book for just two days and have already gone through it three times. The images are a pleasure to glance at, to absorb and to investigate.

atmospheric
Weingarten's photos take the atmosphere as their subject, without landmarks to anchor the viewer. While he catches some wonderful moods, the theme gets a bit tired... Richard Misrach has done a more masterful job, and done it sooner, in "Golden Gate." Own that book first, and then acquire this one.
