An overlooked and maligned gem, April 10, 2009

I've read criticisms of this effort, but one has to wonder if that criticism wasn't directed at this album solely because it was "disco influenced". Regardless, songs like What A Woman Reallly Means and Independent Man are some of my favorites by Roberta Flack, and so to me it's a shame that this is the single album from her catalogue that hasn't (yet) made it to CD.
