Over the years I have searched for books on commercial real estate investing. I have discovered there are very few up-to-date books with much substantial content focused on the investor. This is a big business with lots of players but still very little information on this business seems to get published. The intent of this book is to fill a gap in Commercial Real Estate books and to give you the basics of investing from an insider's point of view. It will include both technical AND practical information on commercial real estate investing. This business is not exceptionally difficult to understand, but it does take a lot of work to succeed.

This book takes an honest and straightforward approach. My intention is to give honest viewpoints and opinions that should provide a baseline to start from. I am writing it in the hopes that it will be informative and dispel some common myths. This can save a lot of mistakes and wasted time at the beginning of any commercial real estate investment endeavor and help in the long-term with making money.

About the Author

Robert A. Morse is a licensed California Real Estate Broker specializing exclusively in commercial properties. His undergraduate work was completed at the University of Southern California (USC) and he earned his MBA from the University of California at Irvine (UCI). Currently, he specializes in financing commercial real estate investments at TheLoanLine.

I found this book to be well-written with easily understood terms, concepts, and explanations. The advice given was comprehensive, "real-world", and informative without being too complex, even for a novice investor like myself. Robert was able to greatly simplify the challenging world of commercial real estate investment and I'll definitely recommend this guide to my business associates.

I worked in the CRE industry for a few years and found myself frustrated from the lack of clear easy to understand, detailed industry information available. Robert's Guide is the answer to that problem. The book is full of terms and definitions that are hard to find, but essential for anybody involved in commercial real estate. The explanations were thorough with insightful tips and recommendations to make a sometimes convoluted subject matter, easy to understand, digest, and make decisions about. I strongly recommend this book.
