Hilarious lesbian humor
I read Roberts' Rules of Lesbian Living and laughed, snorted, snarled, growled, and nodded in recognition, especially the one-liner, "There is no lesbian divorce. Only thermonuclear war. And then best friends." How true! As someone recently said, Roberts' Rules are lesbian fortune cookies. I highly recommend this little book for lesbians and all who love them...

what's the fuss?
not only is it stereotypically negative, but shows society how irresponsible we are in relationships. it adds overall to society's view of us as partner switchers, unable to maintain commitment, irresponsible, and irratic. Seems to typify what you would find in the bar scene which doesn't include the rest of us.

And at this price, you can't beat it! In fact, I am going to buy a truckload for Coming Out Day in October, to give to all my friends and ex-lov

Humorous but truthful look at lesbian living, July 1, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Roberts' Rules of Lesbian Living (Paperback)
This is the kind of book that you want to read to a friend
and share the laughs. Ms. Roberts articulates many of
the truths in living life as a lesbian into brief, philosophical
but humorous one liners. I found myself laughing out loud
on more than one page and I even called a special firend
to read her some of the funniest lines

Funnier than Dr. Ruth, more powerful than the right wing..., June 28, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Roberts' Rules of Lesbian Living (Paperback)
This book had me in hysterics from beginning to end.
It says it all, and does it with much humor.
If your mom says "But honey, why?...." give her this book.
In fact, look up Ms. Roberts' other books and give
them *all*. You won't be sorry. You'll be laughing, and
so will your mom. <G>

Wanna leaven your lump? Read this book!, June 28, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Roberts' Rules of Lesbian Living (Paperback)
Are you feeling that life is just a little too depressing?
Feeling downtrodden and beleaguered? Roberts knows
why you are in that rut and how you got there and can
rescue you with a life-saving dose of humour. A good
book for bedtime reading (starts you two laughing and
you know where that can lead), and an excellent gift
for all your friends, both single and coupled.
I found myself in every page and it is great to know that
I am not looking into the void alone., It is even greater
to know that there is a brilliant mind out there who has so
concisely and persistently correctly captured the fun,
foibles, and frenzy of Lesbian Living. C'est un must, as the
French reviewers put it..

By A Customer
This review is from: Roberts' Rules of Lesbian Living (Paperback)
I read part of Robert's Rules of Lesbian Living in the bookstore, and I laughed out loud. I read more of Robert's book in the parking lot after purchasing a copy. I laughed even more. I read a few more pages at each red light on my trip home from the bookstore. I started howling. I finished reading the book in my driveway. I laughed so hard that I cried. Funny, you ask? FUNNY? This is FUNNY??? Sniff, howl, hold-my-sides laughing funny, for sure. Check it out. HaHaHaHaHa. Yep, funny stuff. HeeHeeHaHaHa Way to go, Shelly
