Cold Sores Begone will help, February 5, 2006
This review is from: Cold Sores Begone (Health and Beauty)
I have to take exception to the previous review. I have had to deal with outbreaks of cold sores for over 30 years. I have been using Cold Sores Begone for the past 5 or 6 years to help alleviate the duration and severity of an outbreak. It does not prevent an outbreak and the name "Cold Sores Begone" is a bit over the top, but it does lessen the duration of the outbreak by 2 or 3 days. Others to whom I have recommended this product have said the same thing.
The product does not list lemon extract as an active ingredient, as the previous reviewer stated. The only active ingredient is allantoin. The previous reviewer has obviously not tried the product or know anything about it. Cold Sores Begone is worth a try if you have cold sore outbreaks. It has helped me.

Silly name, silly logo, fantastic product, September 1, 2010
This review is from: Cold Sores Begone (Health and Beauty)
Every cold sore sufferer knows the sinking feeling of discovering that slight telltale swelling on the lip. I find that if I apply this stuff as soon as I discover the swelling, and keep applying it, the cold sore remains at the tingly stage until it disappears a few days later. There's no oozing, no cracking, and very little swelling or discomfort. Abreva had no noticeable effect when I tried it for one of my outbreaks, but Cold Sores Begone significantly reduces both the intensity and the duration of the sore every time I use it. As a bonus, the taste really is pleasant, and it's almost invisible.

It works from a cold sore sufferer, June 6, 2007
This review is from: Cold Sores Begone (Health and Beauty)
I have tried just about everything that is offered for cold sores whether it be over the counter or prescription. I have found that Abbreva does not work, it is a waste of money. I even had a prescription for medication that was suppose to lessen the effects of cold sores, it did not work. What has worked for me and many family members and friends is a combination of the supplement L-Lysine and Cold Sores Begone. Manytimes just when I feel the tingling in my lips, I immediately grab for the bottle of Cold Sores Begone, it does work. Follow up with a L-Lysine and you can stop the cold sores before they appear.
