I had it for about two weeks now. It gives me lots of fun time.

Pros:

- Easy to install, and take down to play with friends
- Spins the ball whichever way you like: topspin, backspin, sidespin, etc.
- Return balls to random locations; or fixed location.
- Fine control of ball speed
- Fine control of ball frequency
- Takes 38mm and 40mm balls, although you can NOT mix them.
- Automatically collect balls to be used again and again, if you can keep the ball inside the net

Cons:

- The whole thing is not as solid as I would like. It didn't break or anything, but the ball did get stuck a couple of times.
- Some percentage of good returns end up on the table, or over the net. Not a huge percentage. Maybe 15-20 percent.
- When returning balls to a fixed location, it's not as precise as I expected. It gets the ball to the neighborhood, but not exactly the same spot every single time. Not that far off either, though.

Overall, I recommend it.

The Robo Pong 2040 is a wonderful machine. It works exactly as the manufacturer promised. Various spins, speed and ball frequency can be adjusted easily. I have been using it almost everyday and it gives me great exercise and pleasure. I agree with another reviewer that the machine looks a little cheap and flimsy. However, a local table tennis academy has the Robo Pong for 2 years and it remains trouble-free despite daily use. I highly recommend it.

It is easy to install. It comes with a helpful learning DVD and 48 balls. The ball frequency, speed and throw direction can be configured the way you like. We have lot of fun and workout. Great buy.
