Automatic Leveling, 2-Beam Level and Plumb Crossliner features super high visibility horizontal and vertical beams. Uses two 635-650 nm laser diodes - one each for horizontal and vertical beams. Visual out of level indication signals if the unit is out of level after initial set-up. Precision vertical and horizontal lines operate simultaneously or independent of each other for countless level and plumb applications. Fan angles of 140 degrees vertical and 120 degrees horizontal give amazing line lengths for limitless layout versatility. Unit can be taken out of self-leveling mode and locked in place to set any line angle. Multipurpose attachment accessory allows swivel/tilt angle range of 45 degrees in all directions, and attaches with magnets, straps, screw holes, 5/8" standard tripod, and 1/4" x 20 camera tripod mounts.

I bought this because on suggested use was leveling cement forms. The beam is not bright enough to be seen outside with the sun up. Would work well outdoors for a vampire.

Indoors it has worked as advertised.

Pros:
1. Self leveling.
2. Bright enough for indoor use.
3. Vertical and horizontal lines or both at the same time.
4. Compact and comes with soft belt carrying case.
5. Can lock beams and then rotate the device for non-plumb lines.

Cons:
1. Does not work outside in bright sun or even in the shade.

This level works great for simple indoor tasks. The mounting options are great. It mounts easily to camera tripods, and the mounting block it comes with is very versitile and useful. Not the best for outdoor use, but you won't find a level at this price that is.

this thing has helped us layout and reduce our errors for measuring showers & Mirrors. not that great in real bright light and long distances from the source, but an excellent value.
