I purchased RoboForm Password Manager on 12/26/08. I received it on 1/20/09. I used it for a month without a problem. After a month, the program said that the trial period for my free version was over, and that I had to pay $29.99 to upgrade to RoboForm Pro. My version was not a free version. I paid Amazon $25 for a real version of the software that came in a retail box.
I was not interested in spending another $30 on this program, but the program would now only support 10 passwords (I had entered about 25). I contacted RoboForm to find out what was going on. I gave them my name, address, phone number, email address, Amazon order number and credit card information, but they could not find me in their records, and refused to help me.
While all of this was going on I started having a problem logging in to ebay. Ebay claimed my password was invalid. I tried bypassing RoboForm and entering it manually, but it still wouldn't work. I could go to another computer however, and login just fine. The only thing different was RoboForm. I uninstalled the program, and guess what? My ebay login problem disappeared.
Since RoboForm wouldn't work with me, I asked Amazon for a refund. I was out of their refund window by 3 days (since the product worked for a month), but they gave me a credit anyway. Amazon gets 5 stars, RoboForm gets 1.
