Good for permanent placement,

This is a good product, but not quite what I was expecting. I thought these would be rubberized so they would easily grip the floor, but in fact you have to use the (provided) adhesive tape. This means these are only good for one time permanent placement, whereas I was hoping to be able to move them around as necessary.
They do work quite well, though, at keeping the Roomba away from places I don't want it to go.

This is a good idea, but unfortunately the product does not work too well. Two problems I've seen:
- Unreliable blocking. Sometimes the strip stops Roomba, sometimes not. Also sometimes Roomba gets stuck over the strip - if I understand correctly, roomba is thinking that this is a cliff and is stopping to avoid falling. - The strip attaches to the floor using double-sided sticky tape. Unfortunately the tape does not hold well, and can easily separate when Roomba runs over it. Also the tape tends to stick to the hardwood floor and leaves marks. Overall I would not recommend this product - better use standard virtual wall, or just block access with an obstacle.
