AVOID this one,

Vacuum itself is great on hardwood floors and tiles. It picks up tiniest dusts and I'm not sure if it really works, but UV light was a good feature. QQ2 supposed to have a light sensor that it comes out to the lighter area when it finishes its job but that doesn't really happen. It always stopped vacuuming under bed or sofa. This vacuum had hard time climbing up to the small carpeted area from wooden floors. It was alway stuck between those areas and I had to pick up the vacuum by hand. This vacuum is not so smart and has hard time finding a home base. I had to place the vacuum near (within 1ft) the home base for it to find it. Don't expect too much that it'll charge on its own when the battery dies because it can never find a home base even if its in the same room. I had this vacuum for exactly a year now and it malfunctioned 3 times on me and I had to send it out to Metapo's california tech support. They never fixed it properly and after the 3rd time, they finally sent me a new vacuum but that also stopped working within a month. They don't really know how to fix their machine properly and they seemed to be nice about it when it broke for the first time but after that, they try hard not to be responsible for it. When I had to spend my own money to ship out this machine 3 times because they never fixed it right on the first try, they should really be sorry about it. But instead, they treated me like an annoying customer. When I contacted them that the new vacuum stopped working within a month, they delayed their response on purpose and waited until my 1yr warranty expires which was 5/27/08. I initially loved this vacuum, even it broke several times. However, non-working vacuum gives you a headache and you'll be lucky if this machine lasts more than a year. This Vacuum is cheaply made and now I see that there is a reason why this one is cheaper than Roomba. I'm attaching a video to show how this vacuum is malfunctioning.

So far, so good,
This vac does everything the product description says it does. It picks up well, and really does return to its homebase on its own for recharging! I purchased it for picking up fur that is constantly being shed by two, large labs. It works well for this function, but I wish it had a larger capacity dirt storage compartment. I have to stop the vac quite often to clean it out. However, I have no basis for comparison since this is the first robotic vac I have purchased, and I don't know anything about the size of compartments on other brands.

Decent vacuum, small bin though.,

I got one of these vacuums off of ebay, but I used these reviews fairly heavily in my decision (hence my decision to share a review here for others' benefit).
I've had my new robot for 2 weeks now and I've been happy with it thus far. Since I got it I used it to clean on my first floor and second floor several times. I run my robot about 4 times a week (I've probably used it about 10 times now): It works great on short carpets/rugs, hardwood floors, tile (my house is mostly hard wood but I have some area rugs and tile in a few rooms). Where it's really bad is shag carpet or other types of long carpeting... That's just outright bad. Although the manufacturer warns you about that, and the Roomba also does not work well on a shag carpet. Although, I'm actually considering getting rid of my shag carpet because I don't really like it anyhow so it will probably no longer be an issue for me. The big thing I'll say about the surface problem is if you have short rugs and hardwood (which I do with the exception of one room) this is a great vacuum... Many of the complaints I've read had to do with surfaces that it's not designed to clean anyhow. I've noticed that it spins its wheels for a few seconds getting up onto some of my area rugs... I've never had to give it hand getting up, but it takes about 10-15 seconds sometimes if it isn't coming onto the rug straight on. However, I unlike other posters, just waited to see what would happen, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it got up. As far as what it picks up, it does a great job getting up cat hair, I have two cats (one sheds very heavily) and it does a great job picking up dust. My cats like one particular rug in the house, and like to sun themselves on it (as a consequence it's full of hair), the QQ-2 did a great job of taking the hair out of that rug, and now it doesn't look like a cross between the original color and the cat's color. The other really nice feature is the fact that it has a scent compartment (you can buy solid scent packs or use dryer sheets, I'm cheap so I stuff a dryer sheet in), it leaves whatever scent you put in, in your house. As far as docking... It's not perfect, if it finishes its run on the other side of the room from the dock, it takes a good 5 minutes for it to find home. I've built robots that do a little bit better on beacon homing, but this was not a bad attempt, and I'm reasonably impressed with how well it works. The things about that are you should make sure it's in a clear area and against a wall, as well as having a level surface in front of the dock for it to line itself up on. My guess is those who complain about it expect it to go straight back to it... It won't, and probably no robot will, atleast without costing a good bit more. The bottom line is I thought about where I was going to put the dock, I made sure that it would have a reasonably clear line of site to it in the room, and made sure that there was room enough to dock. The other thing I really like is the fact that it comes with a remote. I like to use the remote to play with my cats with it. One of my cats will chase the robot. My biggest complaint, by far is the fact that its dust bin is not that big. You should really keep an eye on the dust bin through the window to determine whether you need to change it. If your house is really dirty, you may need to change it during the 90 minutes. My sister has a Roomba 500 series, and I've messed with her Roomba a few times. This thing is definitely comparable to a Roomba, and I do not regret my decision to buy it instead.

Help Me I'm Stuck,
Nice toy, crappy vacuum. The robot gets stuck within the first few minutes of use (each time we tried to use it). Totally useless and a waste of money... unless you have no furniture or corners in your house.

Perfect way to become acquainted with robotic vacuum cleaners! Really cost effective and a first rate performer to boot! I especially liked the UV light and the ability to add a scent while vacuuming is great (features lacking in the Roomba)!
I've run this vacuum everyday since I got it -- and sometimes twice a day.... The floors have gotten A LOT cleaner, the carpets just smell a WHOLE LOT better, and even the pets have grown somewhat accustomed to it.

This works great, it automatically swiches from floor to carpet and returns to it's base right. The remote works well also, I turn it on when I leave and come back to a cleaner house. Dosent pick up anything real big but to clean every day mess it's great.

Better than my Roomba,

I bought this a couple of years ago. I had originally owned a Roomba but ended up spending more trying to make it work properly than it would have taken me to sweep the room by hand. After the third one I gave up and asked for a refund. I had no expectations when I ordered this machine but was curious whether a company could make a robot vacuum that wasn't incapacitated by dust. So far I haven't had any trouble. Granted it doesn't have to work too hard (2 bathrooms and a kitchen) but it always leaves the floors cleaner than when it started which is all I care about. The self-docking concept is a bit silly and doesn't work very well but so long as my floors look reasonably presentable during the week I don't care whether or not it can find its way home.
When this dies I will most likely buy another one.

I didn't use this product much yet. as of now I can tell you it does a good job cleaning the house (I have tile floors, no carpets), I used it once at my sister's house mostly on carpet floor and it was good too.
It makes more noise than expected, but then again it is a vacuum cleaner so it makes sense. I can't recall how much noisy did the Roomba in comparison though. it doesn't always move from room to room, so I take it to each room and have it clean it separately. the charger is in a small room and it finds it easily when it needs to charge or finishes cleaning. I didn't test the "return to base" feature in a large room. seems the side brush will need to be replaced fairly frequently, but I'm not sure just yet. I found one to buy on line from a site in Egypt (???) since the manufacturer site said it is out of stock, didn't find a replacement elsewhere though I didn't look so hard. Roomba replacement parts are easier to find. it doesn't matter since as for now and the foreseen future it will hold. BTW the side brush is cheap. bottom line, I'm very happy with this purchase, when it comes to value for money it beats Roomba.

my experience wth infinuvo green,

I decided to try this several months ago, because it was cheaper than a Roomba (I've had a couple of those). What I like is that it is quieter than the Roomba and it has a small remote that I've used a couple times. What I don't like is that there is no way to cordon off areas(Roomba has light house censors available), so I have to do prep before hand- pick up items off the floor and make barriers. It does a reasonable job for what it offers, works on carpet, too. So far, I have not had problems, but it doesn't really return to the charger on it's own. All of my robots have had some issues getting hung up or stuck or going from flat areas to carpet. Because of back problems, I will probably always look for some kind of robot-from that standpoint, these products are a godsend.
