4.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive, but fun
I'm not really into shoot-em-up games, so maybe this is so fun for me because I don't get killed off right away. I like this game because it is simple, it's fun to advance through the levels, and I actually like the techno music soundtrack. The graphics are simple, but colorful and playful. And the titles at the start of each level are funny. This isn't sophisticated...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but lacking
This game is fun, and a good retro-gaming title. However, the lack of variety in any of the 100 levels really makes this get REALLY repetitive. If you have a kid that doesn't like to do the same thing OVER AND OVER then do NOT get this game.

the game is maybe not terribly amusing, but amusingly terrible. the gameplay from this game is pretty much the same as the original. the graphics are bright vibrant colours, which are quite fun. the gameplay element is very redundant and gets old fast. it's fun for a level or two but i wouldn't recomend this game for anyone.

This is a very simple game. Classic in other words. It's one little grid the entire game. The people you save and enemies don't vary to much. There's one song the entire time, so I hope you like it. There are a few power-ups in the game, but they are few and far between. There is a multiplayer mode where you switch off using the same controller. It's alright, but I refer to just go single and get my high score and then have someone else try to beat it. The score board is the best feature in my opinion just to see who can outdo who, but the computer/programmers set the bar very high. I don't think I'll ever knock those names off the bored. It's a grind fest though hundreds of painfully similar situations, but it's worth it if you have a group of people gunning for the top score.

theres this dude who must go through over 200 levels.he is basicly in a room with hundreds and hundreds of enemies.when he kills them all,he moves on.i got to level 180 once before my controler pak nuked my game.even by level 40 having a cheat that will allow unlimited tries isnt a bad idea.there will be like 10 new enemies regenerating every second.its pretty rough.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love it!!, December 1, 2001

I got this game (...) and I was skeptical. I fugured that it would be lame. After about five minutes of playing I was hooked. Robotron64 is incredibly enjoyable. There is never a slow paced moment. The easy dificulty is easy enough for those of us who always get killed before we figure it out, and the insane dificulty is truly insane. This game is a very cartoonish overhead shooter, and shouldn't be rated T. When you shoot a bad robot, they either turn green to show that you hit them or sort of blow up, then immediatly dissappear. If you are looking for a high paced, all around fun game, you should check out Robotron64.
