Format:MP3 Download
Kokayi is one of the most talented, multi-faceted musicians around. As you can tell from the product page, he's not an easily classifiable artist. He crosses genre boundaries seamlessly with Hip Hop roots and Rock & Alternative talents that are unparalleled. This album is his strongest effort to date and is extremely polished from start to finish.

If you're looking for some good Hip Hop music - check into "Wynter of My Discontent," "Hiya (ft. Alison Carney)," and "OverThere (O.R.S.)." If you're into some Alternative singing and songwriting at its finest - treat yourself to "Only" or "Autumn Rules," though nearly every track has an exceptionally sung chorus by the man himself. Of course, if you're looking for some music to just jam to regardless of genre ties you'll want to give "RoxTar" some playtime (the original or the Trash RMX with it's amazing original instrumentaion) or "Ninety 5 (ft. Substantial & Tonedeff)" for some crazy rhymes and head-nodding.

This album has something for everybody and could easily be a contender for Album of the Year for any media outlet's award show. It's good music for the mind, body, and soul. You won't regret supporting this record.

Fresh Music October 4, 2010
Format:MP3 Download
Rocking perhaps the freshest cover I've seen all year, Kokayi's latest Robots & Dinosaurs' music is equally innovative and original.

If you're wondering what the album name means, it's explained quite simply in the first minute, but takes on a whole new meaning when you've reached the end of the record. Throughout the listen you'll have encountered instrumentation not often heard in hip hop; live strings, flutes, a killer guitar solo; and lyrics laced by an artist that you can't pin to a genre. You can't help but feel the sincerity in Kokayi's voice as he raps, sings, and howls with soul.

This is what music should be! 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Standouts: Roxtar, Nicotine, Only, Autumn Rules, Ninety 5, Over There.

In a League of His Own October 14, 2010
Format:MP3 Download
Kokayi does something that not many artists can to these days. What I mean by that is he crosses over to different genres but still keeps HIS flavor and His own style to each song. Roxtar and Ninety 5 just to name a couple, Will have you head nodding like it's your job. Those 2 tracks have that "bounce" music feel to them that as soon as the music plays you body just moves with it. Another favorite of mine; Autumn rules has nice melodic guitars that feel so peaceful(even though the song if far from that)and really enjoyable. Chanticleer also has that good vibe to it that I can't really explain I mean just listen to the song. All in all this is a refreshing album for hiphop and music in general. Pick up this album cause you wont be disappointed.
