Book Description

May 16, 2012
Dear Book Nerds,

How's the book business going? Not dead yet? Great! Hey, you know what the problem is? Words! You know what people like? Pictures! You know what they love? Family Guy. Okay, so how can we all move forward? How about an R-rated picture book of jokes written and illustrated by the guys that brought you Family Guy? Jokes so silly, stupid, twisted, offensive that they must be captured for future generations of wiseasses. This is what we are working on for you. Oh yeah, and we're late. That's why we have no cover illustration to show you yet. But we're thinking there will be a robot on the cover. A naked robot.

Thanks and sincerely,

Alec Sulkin, Artie Johann, and Michael Desilets Illustrated by Joe Vaux and Dominic Bianchi

"...a respectable addition to your commode canon." - Penthouse magazine

About the Author

Alec Sulkin: Family Guy writer, @thesulk, Jew, amateur scatologist, probably good with money. Uncomfortable around his own kind (cybernetic organisms).

Artie Johann: Family Guy writer. Was once described as the "nicest asshole you'll ever meet." His stepdad is named Gene, and has a mustache.

Mike Desilets: Family Guy writer (technically). As his photo indicates, he's one of life's finer douche bags. He also grew up moderately poor, so that gives him a fake edge.

Joe Vaux: Family Guy director. Amateur dragon enthusiast. Office high-jump champion. Has worked in animation for 15 years. Currently exhibits his personnel painting in galleries around the world, some of which you can see at www.joevaux.com.

Dominic Bianchi: Family Guy director. Bi's, tri's, lat's, and abs. Certified babe magnet. He smokes when he feels like it and has never littered. Co-created the animated series Ditka for 20th Century Fox. They hated it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Funniest Book Since "Angela's Ashes" May 9, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book, "Robots Feel Nothing When They Hold Hands" is hilarious... lots of great jokes and illustrations from the very best writers and animators from "Family Guy". If you're looking for a great Father's Day gift or even an early Kwanza gift, well, you could do a lot worse than ordering this book and then returning it for a full refund after the holidays. Seriously though, it's a very funny book from some of the most talented people working today. (Okay, Alec, I wrote the review... now give me back my cat.)

By Kencota
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is seriously funny! Sick...but, very very funny! Just breezing thru the pages, you find yourself laughing and amazed at some of the geniousness in the one-liners! It's adult sense of humor is great for a party gathering when you want to shake up the room a bit. Also, I think this would make a FANTASTIC gift for any guy! If you want to just laugh and accept the witty sick humor...I highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Collection of Nonsense and Funny One-Liners December 3, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Alec Sulkin and company (writers & directors on Family Guy) have created a hilarious book of one-liners and ridiculous thoughts that will take you about an hour to read. If you follow their twitter feeds, you may recognize some of the content.

THE PROS:

1) Robots Feel Nothing is actually a really funny book. I laughed. A lot.

2) Reading this collection is stress-free. I read this while I was in the middle of a thousand-page Stephen King novel. I felt productive as I read Robots Feel Nothing. I was turning pages quickly as there are only a few sentences on each page.

3) Some of the jokes have funny photos accompanying them.

THE CON:

Because this book is so short, it's over quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars even robots would laugh May 18, 2012
Format:Paperback
I got this book for my birthday (signed by the authors!). I keep it on my coffee table and pick it up any time I want to laugh. I've probably read the whole thing like three times, and the jokes feel new to me every time. I grew up reading joke books, but they always felt old-fashioned. This is not your parents' joke book. If you know anyone who's into twitter or comedy or jokes in general, they will love this book. Great bathroom accent, too.
