My 5 year old son loves this toy. The balls are launched and can take several paths, including a spinning scoop and a motorized wheel. While it did take a little while to put it together, we have not had any trouble with it falling apart, and he will play with it for hours at a stretch. It is a watered down version of a kinetic sculpture that all children enjoy watching, and with this they can actually be a part of the action. Quite imaginative.

Ok, I'm really tired of spending money on these cheap plastic toys! First of all, it was really hard to put together - maybe others haven't found this, but it took me about 2 hours to try to decipher the instructions. Second, it falls apart really easily. My son couldn't use the pinball shooter because it detached from the main part of the toy before every shot. The plastic belt that runs the big ball mover wheel always comes off, and other pieces have fallen off frequently. He played with it only for about 15 minutes and now it sits in a big pile in the corner. This is mainly because it doesn't stay together and he got frustrated. It was a TOTAL waste of money! Stay away from this one!!!

This toy not only is a form of pinball, if you collect the little figures (the ones with interchangeable parts), you can make a whole adventure! I really liked this item, and it was affordable!
