5.0 out of 5 stars Robson & Jerome
This interesting collection of "oldies" is done with a delightful joy that lifts the listener into a great mood. The singers' camaraderie shines through the fun and funky tunes. I pop it into the CD player for a quick pick-me-up and I'll tell you, it beats Prozac!

3.0 out of 5 stars Alot of fun!
I am a great fan of Robson Green, which prompted me to purchase this cd. It is a trip back in time, with many old standards, some I could have done without (like The Kiss Polka). The backing vocals are a bit overdone, bordering on cheesy, but overall the cd is alot of fun and I recommend it for nostalgia fans and fans of Robson and/or Jerome.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Little Bit About Robson & Jerome, January 14, 2003

These lads are popular actors in Britain. They were in popular series in the 90s, I believe it was called "Soldier, Soldier". One of the scenes called for them to sing at a Karaoke club in either Australia or New Zealand. A couple of session musicians were hired to do the actual vocals for the scene. During a break in rehearsals, they took the mike and went "live" witn one of the numbers. The rest of the cast and the production staff were so impressed with their talent that the sesison musicians were canned forthwith and they did the scene themselves. It was so good that the production company back in the UK was inundated with requests for any recordings. This album was the result. Buy it! It is worth every penny at any price. Too bad they've never been released in the states...

5.0 out of 5 stars Woefully underrated, October 30, 2002
This review is from: Robson & Jerome (Audio CD)
This is it. Music for people who love music by people who love YOU. You can forget your Cliff Richards and your Rolling Stones; this is the pride of British music with beautiful melodies like the song of the nightingale and you can hear all the words.
The album starts, appropriately, with Unchained melody, an interpretation which challenges even Jimmy Young's original version. And they even show those pop groups how to sing pop with their breathtaking take on the Neil Diamond classic 'I'm a Believer'.
But surely their greatest moments occur when they take beautiful English ballads like (There'll Be Blue Birds over) The White Cliffs of Dover, Amazing Grace and Danny Boy. Eva Cassidy should listen to the last one to really know how it should sound from men whose hearts are steeped in the traditions.

All in all, perhaps the definitive album af British popular music.

Can I not give it 6 stars?

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent harmony, September 7, 2009

Robson & Jerome produce some excellent harmonies on this album. I considered buying other CD's of theirs, but this CD contained too many of the selections on the other albums. It is a shame because they are very tallented.

Both singers have charming voices. Their pleasure in performing comes through in an easy, mellow, and fluid style.
