5.0 out of 5 stars Songs That I Never Thought I'd Hear Again!, January 26, 2001
By
Anthony Kibel Sr. (Anaheim, California United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rock Artifacts 3 (Audio CD)
Great tunes, some extremely obscure, most of them I was ecstatic to get ahold of again. From the very Brian Wilson like production of 'I Could Be So Good To You'(Been tring to find this one for 20 years or more!)by Don & the Goodtimes to a couple of the best Buckinghams "Hey Baby Their Playing Our Song& the beautiful ballad Susan-a personal favorite from 30 years ago(I wonder what she looks like now?) Another Brian Wilson tribute called "My World Fell Down" by Sagittarius(with Bruce Johnston and Glen Campbell)sounds like something out of the Pet Sounds era Very good production and angelic harmonies "Run Run Run" is a truly unique tune by The Third Rail very humorous and you"ll smile when you hear it again' shades of the Beach Boys-sort of. The TREMELOES!!! forgot how good and energized they were...Even the Bad Times Are Good was a real trip hearing that again! Two from Scott MacKenzie-"San Francisco" and "Like an Old Time Movie"both sound real good still. I always liked "To Sir With Love" the way "Lulu"sang it What a gorgeous voice she has. To me this CD was a really lucky find . Give it a listen, you'll know what I mean!!!
