They are pretty good but could fit a little better into the ear for a better fit and sound blockage. Maybe it's my ears???

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, February 3, 2011

I realize the purchase price is very low, I get it. However, ear plugs, even this style are not expensive to produce, and should still last more than a few days of light use. I purchased these to wear outside while on the flight-line, because our helicopters and the fighter jets taking off constantly are very loud. I wore them 5 mins to 30 mins at a time, max, then returned inside the hangar to go back to work in the office. When I was inside I just kept them on my neck for ease of access when I walked outside. After just a few days of use, less than a week, one of the earplugs broke clean through at the attach point to the band. There was no fixing it, and therefore it was thrown away. I bought 3 pairs and gave two of them to co-workers. I am guessing I would have had to buy roughly 50+ pairs to have enough to last the year I am to be here. But since I didn't I will be buying another type of hearing protection, and of better quality since I bought the original 3 pair to actually protect my hearing, not to satisfy an urge to buy just for the same of guying something.

The bottom line - You do indeed get what you pay for. If what you want is to get plenty of practice in the art of online purchasing, these are your best bet. If indeed you are purchasing hearing protection to last awhile and actually protect your hearing, I suggest passing on these and buying better quality hearing protection. And spending more money won't necessarily get you a better product. Reading the reviews and making a wise purchase will get you what you need. I failed in that regard when I bought these.

These ear plugs are so extremely tight (and I have a very thin, small head : ) that I had to take them off after 1 minute; my ears were throbbing. I tried to bend them open more, but they are not adjustable. I was debating returning them, but they were so inexpensive and it would probably cost as much to send them back, that I just tossed them in garbage. Maybe they would be better for a small child.
