3.0 out of 5 stars Check the value before you buy.
I did what the first reviewer suggested and purchased the game, used the code to download the songs to RockBand 2 and then sold the disc to someone else for a few bucks.

If you are going to do this, great, but if you think this might be a little morally wrong, just consider your alternative: Each of these songs sell on the market place for 160 points...

5.0 out of 5 stars A great additon to Rock Band, November 20, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Rock Band Track Pk Vol2 Xbox 360 (Video Game)
First off it contains:
"Afterlife" Avenged Sevenfold
"Call Me" Blondie
"El Scorcho" Weezer
"Girl U Want" Devo
"Girls Who Play Guitars" Maxïmo Park
"Indestructible" Disturbed
"It Hurts" Angels & Airwaves
"Just What I Needed" The Cars
"Message in a Bottle" The Police
"Monkey Gone to Heaven" Pixies
"Rio" Duran Duran
"Saints of Los Angeles" Mötley Crüe
"Simple Man" Lynyrd Skynyrd
"Snow ((Hey Oh))" Red Hot Chili Peppers
"The Perfect Drug" Nine Inch Nails
"This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" Fall Out Boy
"Time Is Running Out" Papa Roach
"Why Do You Love Me" Garbage
"You've Got Another Thing Comin'" Judas Priest
"Zero" Smashing Pumpkins

All these songs are pretty good, the game gives you a potential of an extra 250 gamerpoints and a code to transfer the 20 songs included if you own Rock Band 1 or 2. It shouldn't be hard to sell the game once the code is used for 15-20 dollars so you are essentially getting 20 songs for $10. Great Value!!!

Cons: It features the Rock Band interface and not that of Rock Band 2
All features except for the essential ones have been removed.

I did what the first reviewer suggested and purchased the game, used the code to download the songs to RockBand 2 and then sold the disc to someone else for a few bucks.

If you are going to do this, great, but if you think this might be a little morally wrong, just consider your alternative: Each of these songs sell on the market place for 160 points (approximately $[...]), and since there are 20 songs this would cost $40 to buy the separately. As a track pack, you save $[...]-$[...] overall, so it's a good deal, right? Well, no, not really.

I started looking at the songs and realize I only play/like 9-10 of the songs on the track pack. So if I had just bought the songs I play/like on the market place, it would have only cost me $[...] and I would have saved and extra $[...]-$[...].

Also, since Amazon sells the Microsoft Points (1600 and 4000) at a slight discount, you can save even more by just downloading the songs you play/like.

So, look at the songs included and decide which one's you like or are willing to learn to like. If it is more than 11 of the 20, this is a great deal, but if not, you might be better off just going and buying a microsoft points card and downloading the songs you like.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great deal. If you like the music., August 12, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Rock Band Track Pk Vol2 Xbox 360 (Video Game)
This track pack is really good for the price, but I only recommend buying it if you like at least half of the songs. For the price you can pay online per song, you should like at least 10 to 12 of these songs and consider the rest as a bonus. They are exportable to Rock Band 1 and 2 by downloading the songs with a code given on the back of the manual. Overall it is a good deal, but only if you have a taste for most of these songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Rockband Expansion, October 4, 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

I got this expansion mainly for Afterlife with some other major perks like Message in a bottle, Call Me, NIN's the perfect drug and a few others. After getting the game I'd say 15/20 songs are great, fun to play and some challenging songs on drums (Other instruments I'm not 100%, but I know Afterlife and Snow are very hard on guitar). Good expansion for some cheap extra songs, the graphics/gameplay is the same as rockband 1 so that a bit of a let down. However, it does come with a code to transfer these songs to rockband 3 for Free.

But because of it havent had the chance to Play it yet.

This game cost me less than the equivlent of three downloaded songs on Xbox live. I figured for that amount, it is worth adding a bunch more songs to my Rock Band 3 setlist. Importing them is very easy with the enclosed code. You can also play this game seperately if you don't own Rock Band 2 or 3...or if you just want to boost your gamerscore! : )

Like all "song packs" and traditional albums, the question is: "How many of the songs do you like?". The answer needs to be most all of them before it makes sense to buy them as a set rather than as singles. If you like most of them, then this is great track pack to pick up.

Just be sure the content is cool for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars a Fantastic Mixed Bag, December 31, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rock Band Track Pk Vol2 Xbox 360 (Video Game)
The value in this game isn't in the Disc itself, but in the DLC Code printed on the Manual. This code, when redeemed, Downloads 20 songs that can be played in Rock Band, Rock Band 2, or Rock Band 3 (also any future Rock Band titles, logically). Even at the full MSRP of $30 is a value, because each song costs $2 by itself. Given that Amazon regularly sells games at a considerable discount the value is even greater!
