Well,

After nearly 10 years I was searching for some New Beat albums and this was the second one I found. I will agree with the other reviewer that it is better than the other. Something I find intruiging is that I bought 85% of the New Beat records that were released in 1989,90,91 and now all that you can find are a couple of CD's that covered about one tenth of the great tunes that were released on vinyl. With the way todays music is going New Beat will still fit in. Do you remember Cocain by The Maxx? nuff said!!

I was about to write off New Beat as dumb, mindless dance music before I acquired this CD. Much better than the "Sounds of New Beat" compilation; the song choice on this compilation is far superior. Highlights include a remixed version of A Split Second's "Flesh" spiced up with extra beats, Amnesia's "Ibiza", Public Relation's self titled song, and In-D's "Virgin In D-Sky". I own several New Beat compilations, and this one blows them all away. This CD is the perfect introduction to the musical genre known as "New Beat". .........now, if only Antler Subway Records would re-release the Electronic Body Music compilations....
