This game is very repetitive and easy to play. It is a good fit for younger kids since it involves smashing rocks and baby dinosaurs. The object is to smash three of the same colored rocks in a row without having the rocks grow all the way to the top of the pit. If you are successful, you get to hatch and feed dinosaurs. These dinosaurs can help you with the smashing. The instruction booklet was not too helpful in providing instructions but you can learn as you go.

A game goes very quickly. At the end of each game you have to press a couple of buttons to return to the play mode and this was annoying! The graphics are very basic and I would not pay full price for it. I would not recommend this game to older kids or adults. It would get old too fast.

I decided to order this game on Amazon because it was highly recommended. This game plays like the Bust-A-Move series.

There are clusters of rocks rising from the inside of the volcano. You have to eliminate 3 of the same colored rocks in order to clear them. But watch out -- if you let the pile get all the way to the top, the volcano will explode with lava, and the game is over! There are several modes of Rock Blast, most notably the Story and Puzzle Mode. You can also try wireless with other players.

You can use the stylus to tap on all 4 of your dinosaur friends, whom will help you clear out some of the rocks. The elephant is especially helpful because it will freeze the water, giving you 5 to 10 seconds to think about your next move. The T-Rex will "stomp" on the cluster and lower it back into the volcano.

You have to be nimble though, because the further into the game you are, the faster the pile rises. As you clear each level, you can use the money that you obtained to "level up" your dinosaur friends. Unfortunately, they don't evolve like you may have noticed in the Pokémon series. All you end up doing is sacrificing your money to level them up until they max out.

Although the game seems fun at first, it can get boring rather fast because there are 99 levels to go through and the music NEVER changes. Spoiler alert: after you've logged in 30 to 40 hours to get to Level 99, you will get a "Congratulations" and a short ending to the game with the end credits. In the Puzzle Mode, I only made it to Level 24 because you only get a certain amount of chances to clear the level before the volcano explodes. Trust me, you will have as much difficulty trying to get through it.

I wouldn't really recommend this game to anyone, so I would stick with the Bust-A-Move series. I haven't tried the Wii version of Rock Blast yet, but I'm pretty sure that version could end up the same way as this one. Read more ›

This frantic puzzle game is fit for everyone. You have to think and react fast to play this game. Touch, aim and drop the perfect shot to destroy the rising lava rocks. Match three or more of the same colored rocks and the intensity of the action as your dinosaur supporters aid you with attacks. Entertaining game.

This game is really fun.

There are 99 levels, each level you beat you can use the money to buy a dinosaur to help to destroy the
different color rocks. There are 5 dinosaurs in the game. I am on level 65, and you need to get all the dinosaurs
by the time you get to level 25 or 30. the higher the level the harder it gets to beat. It is similar to the game bust a move.

This game can be for ages 10 & up. P.S. This game also has a puzzle mode, I haven't finished it yet!!
