Publishers and artists, such as Bruno Gmünder Verlag and Justin Monroe, like to play with words, and this solidly entertaining book is just that. Rock Bottoms can either define the lowest place you can go, or the position of choice in encounters, or the firm and muscular derrières of hunky men. Take your pick which definition you wish and the contents of this photographic essay are sure to titillate and please. Or as the book site defines the mission, `The culmination of a decent to a place where a person has nothing left to loose. The result of the ultimate self-destructive behavior. That is what rock bottom means. Leave it up to Justin Monroe to turn this into art - hot and dirty, and yes, of course trashy.'

Born in America's mid-west, Justin Monroe now lives in Los Angeles where he has woven a net of stylists, creative directors and models. His featured models have so many fans on account of their incredible physics and dangerous curves, the team of Justin Monroe came up with the idea to do something different for ROCK BOTTOM. "We wanted to do a hot sexy manscape of giant butts, big phalluses and muscles galore. So we decided to pick the best models Justin ever shot and put together a collection of brand new and never seen before images starring them, with sexy models like Stevo Bobbio, Adam Killian, Bobby Momenteller and yes even Justin Monroe himself gets into the action."

Monroe's images are variations of isolated views of bottoms to experimental images that just happen to feature the backside. For those who have seen his first book `Down the Rabbit Hole' then this book is a followup of sorts. It is a celebration of masculinity and sexuality and lifts some taboos that have up to now been restrictive.

Naturally, the cover caught my eye so without doing some Internet researching, bought it on an impulse. Sadly, the cover is the best part of the book, in my opinion. Granted, it's published by Bruno Gmunder so the book itself is top notch (thick paper, super glossy finish, truly coffee table art book), I just wish the models photographed inside were more to my liking: not so young and a tad more masculine.

I was counting the days for this book to come and when it did I couldn't put it down. The quality of book is excellent - each page was like a poster, the photos are so sharp and each pose is so sexy, and inspiring that I wanted to go back to the gym. Thank you.

A very cheeky (pun intended) book! Justin Monroe has done a terrific job of putting together a great collection of hunky guys in very sexy and outrageous poses and situations. But this book's main emphasis is on men's (mostly shaved) asses. And I don't think there is a better photographer out there than Justin who can capture the allure and eroticism of the male rear end. But don't despair if you're not into that (no pun intended) because there is a healthy dose of variety with plenty of erections and evocative clothing and footwear to admire.

There are some great photos here. Very high resolution, up close, almost like you can touch these guys. Very nice and artful poses and just a joy to look through.

More About the Author

Justin Monroe appears to thrive on being misunderstood. With his sense of drama and
astonishing subject matter, he leaves you questioning your perspective of the world around you. With the success of his debut book DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE, and his most recent release ROCK BOTTOM, his accomplishments seem to be unstoppable. Always
sexually driven and never apologetic has become Monroe's trademark. At the core of his art he explores timeless themes of human behavior evoking raw, voracious, vivd images that unsettle as they entertain.
