Made in EU in 2000, Serial# 72435-76260-2-6, Playing Time 71:40This compilation lifts tracks from 4 of GW's albums: "Once Bitten" (tracks 3,5,7), "...Twice Shy" (tracks 2,4,12,14), "Hooked" (tracks 1,6,10,11) and some studio cuts from "Recovery Live!" (tracks 8,9,13.) All songs are studio recordings, and appear here in their full-length versions. Track 13 is a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Rock And Roll". I was a bit disappointed by the track selection, but it's a fair picture of the GW sound and their style: some fast, some slow, some heavy, some not-so-heavy. As with each CD in this series, buy it only if you're interested in the music: the packaging is a black digipak, with no bio, no liner notes, no credits, etc. On the other hand, they usually represent a good introduction to the band's sounds: more of a "profile" than a "best of"... |
