Rock Gardens (Serious Gardener Series), April 29, 2000
This review is from: Rock Gardens (Serious Gardner Ser.)) (Paperback)
This book is, as it's title says, for the serious gardener. It has a lot of great information on the different kinds of rock gardens, creating a rock garden, maintaining the garden including mulching, weed prevention, deadheading, pruning, watering, feeding, and winter care. There is a large section on individual plants, with info on each including how easy it is to grow, if and when it flowers, care required, what kind of garden it is good in, size, what kind of soil it needs, and how to propigate. The photography throughout is beautiful, especially the photos of the New York Botanical Garden's rock gardens.
