This is my first Book by Cherrie Lynn--won't be the last. What a wonderful amazing love story. The romance between Brian and Candace sizzles but what almost mesmerized me is the depth of these two amazing characters. I'm very found of tattooed and rebellious pierced hero and I found Brian absolutely irresistible. Brian has a lot on his mind; he think is unworthy and has his doubts if there is really a thing called love. Candace, even with her insecurity and family drama seems just what he needs. I love the way this author breathes sensuality and life into her characters in this story, the leads are dynamite together and I plan to keep my eye on future offerings from this writer.

ROCK ME is the classic bad boy meet good girl story. When Candace Adams decides to get a tattoo, the only person she can trust to do the job properly is her cousin's ex-boyfriend Brian, the man she's always had a secret crush on. When they meet again the sparks ignite, but Brian doesn't believe he's good enough for Candace. Candace is so used to having her life controlled by her domineering family that she's scared to break free and live her own life. Fortunately, the connection between them is too powerful to ignore, but when Candace and Brian decide to risk it all, her family sets out to destroy not only their relationship but the livelihood Brian has worked years to achieve.

I really enjoyed ROCK ME. ROCK ME was an easy read, the pages flew by, and the connection between Candace and Brian was not only sensual but emotional as well. However, having said this, Candace is a person who is so completely removed from my life and reality that I had a hard time connecting with her and I found her actions and reactions annoying. To elaborate, Candace is a twenty-three year old pampered princess who is still living under her parents thumb. She allows herself to be treated like a child, and is even afraid to get a tattoo because of what her family may think. She also sabotaged her relationship with Brian because she was too scared to open her mouth and defend herself and her right to be with Brian. Because of the way she was written, it was hard for me to believe at times that she had the emotional maturity to be in a relationship with Brian. Except for the sex and the sexual tension, because of Candace, I felt as if I were reading a very good young adult novel (I love Young Adult novels) instead of a contemporary, erotic romance.

To contrast Brian was a strong individual.

I love a story where the bad boy and the good girl try to make a go of things. Ms Lynn's story had me from hello. Things start hot and never let up. I felt like I was the one sitting there in the tattoo artist's chair waiting for my new ink--and I'm too squeamish to get body art. But this story had me thinking otherwise.

I also love characters that redeem themselves. In this case, Brian is the true rebel. He plays by his own rules and does what he wants, but at heart, he's not as bad as he wants us to think he is. That said, that little detail is what truly endeared him to me. He's realistic. Yes, he can probably bend steel with his bare hands and can scare small children and the elderly with his body art, but for me, that made him sexier. There's a certain fragility under his tough exterior that made him sweet and tart at the same time.

Candace is great, too. She's what I've always wanted to be -- rebellious. She's lived by the rules of others and wants that one moment to be her own person. I could relate to her. She's a combination of sassy, sweet, and soul, all confuddled in a plays-by-the-rules package. Her struggle to find her own personal balance was raw and believable. I wanted to see her spend the rest of her life with Brian.

If you want a story that's super sexy and will stick with you long after the last page, then you need to read Rock Me. This is one for my keeper shelf.

This novel is off the charts smokin' hot!

Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn contained some really spicy graphic scenes, but that was basically the premise of this entire book. If your looking for a really sexy, steamy read then this is the novel for you. Personally, I was expecting a little more from Brian and Candace's relationship. I'd have liked to see them date or get to know one another (maybe even in the form of flashbacks from when Brian dated Candace's cousin, Michelle). Rock Me gives you a little bit of a story, apart from their magnificent sex-life, but not enough. I wanted more storyline!

Caution: this is an adult novel. It's all about sex, sex and sex. It's X-rated and very descriptive! I do not recommend this novel for teens. This is an adult book, and should be read by adults.

I gave Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn 3 STARS (I gave the heat 5 STARS). If you want something to spice up your day, this book definitely has a lot of heat! I recommend this novel for adults who are looking for a sexy read (just don't expect more from this novel than what it is).
