5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have!!!!!!!!!!!, August 4, 2000
This review is from: Rock the Planet (Audio CD)
The CD is great "Rock the planet" has a rockin disco type feel to it. Shakti's vocals on "Thought of you" and "Anna's island song" are simply divine. You will listen to them over and over just to here her voice;} The only problem I had with the CD was the song "Freedom of speech" a rap of sorts that just comes up short;{ But overall the CD is a must have!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jazzin' Funkster in His Own Write, November 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Rock the Planet (Audio CD)
This disc is a strong rock/funk outing for a group of excellent musicians. Muruga comes through with funky beats and lots of percussion to satisfy the funkster and rocker alike. Shakti provides ethereal vocals that soar atop the beat. You'll also love James Gurley's neo-psychedelic guitar riffs and the authoritative playing of Hubie Crawford on bass and Ilia Reyzman's violin, and Dr. Funkenstein's special appearance. I recommend this disc to all fans of the funk and everyone who loves funky rock music.
