Good but not great, June 26, 2009
This review is from: Rock in Rio (DVD)
I had this concert on VHS back in the late 80s and was quite excited to see it finally released on DVD. I remember this especially well because it contained a rare live version of "It's A Hard Life" my favorite track from The Works, (even though Freddie really blows the last note, it's still such a great song in any format).
I have to admit that the price and cheesy cover art had me skeptical from the jump, and unfortunately this appears to be a case of getting what you pay for. Unlike the other superior Queen authorzied DVD releases, this does not seem to have been sanctioned by the band. While professionally filmed, the video is definitely grainy and the audio is passable, but not great. Truth be told, all it looks like the creators of this disc did was take a generational VHS copy and transfer it to DVD. All the same edits from the previous VHS are here, so the other songs performed still don't see the light of day.
As a die hard Queen fan, this was worth the [...] bucks I paid for it. If you're looking for high quality live Queen material, don't start here.

Great concert, poor quiality., August 25, 2009

It's a beautiful Queen concert but sound and picture is very poor. It's worce that pirate VHS. I think it's against the law to release so bad videos for sale in official shops. If you want this concert it's better way to buy Masterplan release or any bootleg edition.
