This recording would probably be OK if you had never heard the original recordings. The fine print on the jacket reads "New stereo recordings". I guess someone has decided to tamper with the success of the original recording, because the "remixs" are not all that good and some cuts sound like they may have been re-recorded recently by the remaining members of the group.

If you are looking for the original recordings as they were heard on the radio, well...this ain't the one! But if you want to hear what the other takes from these groups were like...get this one as it's not too bad in that sense.a Pisces Lady...

The Ultimate History of Rock & Roll Collection, Volume 6: Vocal Groups is forty minutes and nine seconds and was released on March 31, 1998. Only three songs on this CD are original recordings and they are: Five O' Clock World by The Vogues, Since I Don't Have You by The Skyliners, and So This Is Love by The Castells. The other thirteen songs are stereo recordings. So if you hate stereo, stop reading. Four of the songs on the CD went to number one with Only You (And You Alone) by The Platters holding the spot for seven weeks at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Rhythm & Blues Records charts. You have at least one group on it that I never heard of and they are The Bachelors. Most of the music on it has a very soft melody\tone.
