Jet Rock 'n Roll!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rock N Roll Etiquette (Audio CD)
New Album from the greatest rock 'n roll band Guitar wolf. It's loud, and as dirty as rock 'n roll. Their music is somwhere between ramones, motörhead,Cramps,Jon Spenser Blues Explosion!. This album contains Track from the Movie "Wild Zero"(It's Rock 'n Roll Zombie action movie!)which they are in as main cast, but in re-recorded version. If you already like Guitar Wolf, this is the album you should get,so as the Live Album.

Guitar Wolf - 'Rock 'N Roll Etiquette' (Narnack),

Get out the ear plugs! At least to 'soften' the blow - this CD is freaking L-O-U-D!! Killer tracks here include "Jet Virus", the total *ss-kicking "Toilet Face", "Sore Loser", the early Stones hit "Route 66", the in-your-face "Highway Baby" and the Jack Scott early rocker "The Way I Walk" - some of you might remember this cut being on the very first Cramps 'Gravest Hits' EP. Seriously, 'Rock 'N Roll Etiquette' can cause some hearing damage. You've been warned.

I don't know what they are saying... but brother they mean it. I saw them open for the The Cramps back in 97. They have this pure sonic fury going for them that no one else has, or can duplicate. Anyone who can get out there and scream and thrash with this kind of conviction is a hero in my book.

Haven't heard of Guitar Wolf? Wanna know what they SOUND like?Imagine a Japanese hybrid of Link Wray and the Ramones falling down the stairs onto a pile of megaphones... Thats Guitar Wolf. Its loud, its fast, its totally chaotic, its ROCK 'N' ROLL baby!!! Rock so raw its bleeding, Guitar Wolfs only musical goal seems to be making sure they're the last thing you hear. Its a thing of beauty. So why only 4 stars? Some of the songs are (slightly) weaker than on the last two albums, the totally excellent "Planet Of The Wolves" and "Jet Generation." But on RRE they're still doing their thing, and they're doing it quite well, I can tell you that. Fans of loud, fast, nasty sounding garage-punk NEED to hear these guys. Personally, I'd reccomend "Planet Of The Wolves" and/or "Jet Generation" first, but those are both out of print and getting hard to find, so RRE is your next best choice.

This record came out in Japan in 2000. The import was hard to get and often went for forty dollars. Now it's available in the States. Seiji has remixed it. It sounds raw and explosive. This album is more satisfying than Loverock. They cover "The Way I Walk" made famous by The Cramps. It is rocking. This is loud music. It's time to drink beer. Those who have the DVD know some of these songs. Rock and roll! Guitar Wolf will be playing America in March 2005. See you at the show!
