Could be used in a concentration camp,

This CD causes actual physical pain when listened to. Words cannot properly describe how absolutely horrific this is. It may well be the worst combination of sound ever pressed to CD. Fieldy's solo "album" is even worse than those of the band he comes from. Avoid this abomination at all cost unless you're a self-mutilator or something.

Fieldy's Dream = My Nightmare,
By A. Estes (Maine) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rock N Roll Gangster (Audio CD)
Ok, first off, let's clear one thing up: I listened to this album with my mind as wide open as I could possibly get it. Korn are one of my favorite bands and I didn't want to hate anything that a member of the band does. But when I listened to this CD, my first reaction was to laugh, and then it turned to sobbing. What was in Fieldy's head that made him think this CD was good? No offense but come on, this CD really stinks! I can't imagine anyone actually enjoying this CD on a regular basis. The production is great and some of the beats are as well, but the downfall of this album is truly Fieldy's lame lyrics and his very annoying voice. Add the two together and you get a tragedy from every perspective. If you are looking for some great rap/hip-hop albums, I recommend Wu-Tang's "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," Outkast's "Stankonia," Ice Cube's "The Predator," Cypress Hill's "Black Sunday" and Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" and "The Chronic 2001."

I can't believe some record company backed this.,

It boggles my mind that pieces of garbage like this can be made. The fact that a record company would put money behind this (and I'm sure it was a very large amount of money) makes me sad. I really lose faith in music when I hear crap like this. I actually feel dumber for having listened to this. I really do. My brain has simply slowed down. It's like years of schooling were suddenly all thrown out the door in the three minutes it took me to skip through this CD.
I have heard fieldy on the bass. He is awful. The man simply has no musical talent. It's not his fault. Actually, now that I think about it, it is his fault. He should have been practicing the bass instead of making 17 tracks of this cross-over crap. I'm sure if your were to ask him, he would hide behind the "Well, if i'm so bad, how come my band sold millions of records?" excuse. My answer: Just because your musical group is successful doesn't make you a musician. I understand that it might be hard to produce something truely genuine when your locked in a studio all day, and your surrounded by people telling you that your music is fanatastic. Well, Brian Wilson did it, and he was on LSD, living in a sandbox, and trying to figure out what the color blue tasted like. So fieldy, you have no excuse. Lay off the pot. YOUR A DAD. If my dad went around telling everyone that he was "A Pimp" like Hue Heffner, I would: 1. Ask my mom how she felt about it. 2. Call Child Protective Services 3. Demand that he stop going to my PTA meetings 4. Move far away If you plan to buy this album, DON'T. If you have already purchased this album, I'm sorry.

Mediocore Hip-Hop,

First off let me tell you all right now that this isnt a 4 star cd, however its not a 3 star either. If I could i would give this a 3 1/2.On top of everything else i dont like rap or hip hop that much but im not a big metal korn fan either so this review isnt bias at all.Now that thats cleared up.Fieldy Is skilled on melody, beat, and rythm however like almost everyone else said hes lyrics suck. All he talks about is smoking weed.It really does get kind old after awhile. However this cd has a couple of great songs such as "Just For Now","Comin From A Friend", and "Are You Talking To Me".If your a punker-rocker that can appreiciate some good hip hop that doesnt talk about doing b*tches all the time:-)this is the cd for you.IF ur into rap u could probably find something better than this out somewhere but for all the rockers/punkers that dont want to take the time looking through all those trash piles off crappy rap music than u should just stick with this one.

Keep dreaming...,

This is written to the curious, musically open-minded KoRn fan. People like myself who love KoRn ..., but can appreciate good hip-hop as well. Let's get a good group vibe going here, so we can lament this tragedy of a recording together.WOW, this album is bad. I WANTED to like "Fieldy's Dreams." I desperately did. But there's very little that's done right here. There's no catchy rythms, very few catchy beats (most of which sound like they were produced from a really [bad] synthesizer), and barely any clever RHYMES. And that's one of this project's greatest flaws. The recording is a lyrical embarrassment. Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst will sound like freakin' Longfellow after you've heard a few of Fieldy's tracks. And that's using "Chocolate Starfish"-era Durst as the frame of reference. Seriously, Durst's "Hot Dog" is a Homerian epic after hearing an atrocity like Fieldy's "Bleu." Only the filthy "Comin' From a Friend," an over-the-top admonition against promiscuous wives, manages to ascend to the status of "guilty-pleasure." There is however, one bright spot on the album--and not surprisingly, it's supplied by KoRn's frontman, Jonathan Davis. The track "Just For Now" starts out promisingly, with a creative, middle-eastern sounding beat that immediately stands out from the rest of the material on the album. Once Davis joins in for the chorus, the song soars. Lyrically, this track is contemplative and profound... a refreshing break from the predictable "bling-bling" drivel permeating the remainder of the CD. I only paid [$] for this CD, so I'm content to consider it a "Just For Now" single and be happy with my purchase. I could ONLY recommend this album to die hard KoRn fans who stumble upon a bargain price--because the one Davis track on this CD is the only thing worth holding onto. And don't be fooled--while there is one track written by KoRn's Brian "Head" Welch, and another written by all members of KoRn, these are just weird interludes that don't even total 40 seconds of material. If you dare purchase this, know what you're getting--ONE great song ("Just For Now") and a LOT of garbage.

Just because you're a rap/hip-hop fan doesn't mean you have any business making an album. This is what is going on here. i think koRn is great, and i'm a huge hip-hop fan as well... so i'm not going to lie, this is WACK. before you even think about buying this you'd better borrow it from someone or listen to samples of it online. you're either going to love it or HATE it. the only song i kinda liked was Put A Week On It, and that's only because Son Doobie guests on it.approach this album with caution.

firstly i will just say this album really sucks, if you're going to try and take it seriously this is beyond bad, its diabolically crap. however if like me you enjoy stuff like Spinal Tap thats ironically funny cos it sucks so much you'll probably enjoy this and play it to your friends for a joke when you're drunk. Tracks like you saved me(a ridiculous marajuana ode) and comin from a friend are hilariosly crass and unbelievably stupid, you'd think they guy was trying to be ironic!

This album is just too perfect. I mean, even if I would have plotted for months I never could have scripted this any better. The bass player from Korn, you know the short dude with pony tails who does that disgusting nu metal bob up and down thing all day, put out a solo rap record. This has to be heard to truly realize how bad it is. It's the closest thing I've found to actual audio diarrhea, you'll be begging for a Limp Bizkit remix record.

Fieldy drops a bomb with some of the dopest sounds.,

This is one of the most underated albums of the year. Of course w/Fieldy, the bass line has to be tight. The music hooks you the first time you hear it. The lyrics are occassionally sophmoric, but the music more than makes up for it.I have had this CD in the car for more than 4 months and listen to it almost daily. This is a damn good first effort.

Great Rap, but 4 Stars For The Lyrics....,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rock N Roll Gangster (Audio CD)
Okay, lemme start off by saying that Fieldy is a great bass player and his voice is perfectly suited for rap. Let's just say that if Fieldy works on another album like this, I think he should hire someone to write the lyrics for him. Almost all of his lyrics are about smokin' weed. It seems that Fieldy is really OBSESSED with his weed. "Just For Now" (The best song on the cd) Is the only song with truly powerful lyrics. Oh well, I'm one of those people though, that listens to the music anyway, even if the lyrics are bad. I'm not saying lyrics don't matter, because lyrics can make a song much better than it would be without them. For rap and hip-hop fans. Peace, yall!
